4 Swivel Heavy Duty Rubber Castor Caster Wheels 50mm Coldene Castors,

I did a review on this time a go. But after 1 month I just come back to do other as I have used it about 5 times. On last time I used it was to move a big fridge and it just broke so see like it's not strong like it look like. I use these on floor standing tools and benches in workshop. Being low they offer great stability n lock well. They do get used alot and on heavy items do not deform or eggshape like others I have had in the past. Also cause of low height when adding underneath the don't make the tool or bench too high so no no modifications needed. Also have made 4 wheel trolley for furniture/white goods moving house and now gets used for moving furniture around the house especially when the wife says if we move it here it might look better, presto put on trolley, roll around wait roll again n again till she is really sure and slide off and put back in cupboard till next time. Update for this: I just ordered another set n these are same units but the locking unit tab is now a piece of plastic n not metal like others. Definitely not as good. Shame as the whole metal unit is sturdy as. Let down only by this so losing stars for this as u pay same price

Appear to be very well made just like the last lot I purchased. Only problem with this batch is the 'improved' brake. On a 50mm castor the only way to take the brake off is to use your fingers, not enough room to get the toe of a safety boot under. The new brake is so strong it's a pain to do, especially if it flicks back and catches your finger ends.Returned for a refund as the brakes would have really annoyed me in daily use.

Somewhat disappointed with these castors, but probably expecting too much.We bought a very heavy new bed (especially with me in it), which was supplied with hard plastic castors, which were unsuitable for our fancy wood floor. Replacing with these appeared the solution, and for a year did the trick.But as the bed is only ever rolled away for 1 metre, and then straight back again, the bed ended up always resting on the same sections of tyre, which have now split. Not the metalwork, just the tyres. The rubber simply isn’t up to supporting the weight.I’ve replaced with heavier duty double wheel castors, which give a specific weight loading. Time will tell!

Arrived promptly. I'm writing this review a few months after getting these castors and it is a much different review now compared to what I probably would have put straight after receving them.These are a good product, but only for relatively light loads that are not moved around too often.Partly my fault for hoping these would do the job i bought them for and going for the cheaper option, you live and learn!If you want something to take a heavy load then definately pay the extra for the solid wheels and not these rubber ones.If yu are moving things on a regular basis with these castors, then again I would pay the extra for the solid wheels

After making the mistake of buying cheaper casters, which looked good but collapsed at the first opportunity under a little cabinet that I needed to move on a carpet occasionally, I went for these. Very pleased, solidly built for the medium amount of weight the full cabinet has, rotate easily so cabinet doesn't stick and need wiggling to get a caster round, the two locking wheels are useful and they took no time to fit. Recommended.

I have to date purchased seven sets of these castors and I`m sure over the next few months will purchase more, Why ?.Quality, they are really well made/sturdy, I have them fitted to various benches for my power tools in the garage so I can move my tools to where I need them.Packaging & Delivery, they are well packaged, no damaged ones on delivery and I received them on or before the delivery date.Price, extremely well priced taking into account the sturdy construction.A big improvement to nylon castors that I have previously used, these run smooth, not noisy and judder across the floor like nylon ones.Taking everything into account I would recommend these castors to anyone.

The wheels broke when moving the garden box. I wasn't sure if they would take the weight. They were fine in a straight line but when I tried to pivot the wheels one of them crushed. The second has crushed without any more movement. Too soft for a raised garden box of 1m x .5m x 400mm D (3' x 1.5' x 18" D approx). The locking mechanism didn't work from the get go so it cost it a star.I feel it's not fair to give less as I thought they might be too soft from the beginning. I was stuck so I had to use them on that day.If I replace them I will use hard plastic wheels.
