BV Bicycle Side Kickstand, Bike Alloy Adjustable Height Rear Kick Stand, for Bike 24" -28"

The first stand arrived without one of the plastic inserts, however, being bought through Prime I was able to get a replacement next day. I was fitting this to a light(ish) electric bike (14kg) so having this type of stand isn't ideal as you would normally fit a motorbike style stand. Fitting was straightforward and I was able to fit it around the motor cable. Now in use it works very well, it's further back than I would have liked but that's down to the cabling on the bike and also the stand catching on the pedal. The height adjustment is very easy - just lift the catch and change the height - much better than the screw lock type I've had before. The stand is also very sturdy and should last a long time. Overall really pleased with my purchase.

Great product and possibly the best of its kind that I have ever bought, (6 previous ones of varying types). Robust, easy to fit and slightly longer than most of the other types on the market. The locking clip is innovative and extremely successful in its function. I expect this to last a very, very long time. I have now bought a further 3 of these and they are fitted to all the bikes in our household. My own one has been in use for some 7 months now and is as robust as the day I bought it. I have since bought, another 2 for other family bikes, such is my confidence in this product. Great product from a great seller. In fact...a 'stand-ing' ovation!

Hooray! I found a stand that seems sturdy and I think will last and not snap (see my review of the 'Lictin' stand). Altogether much more heavy duty. Here's hoping.

Scoured Amazon for one of these at the right price/quality radio. So many really looked, or were reviewed, as shoddy and unreliable. Thin legs, basic springs etc. and guess where made .... Anyway this model seemed by far the best and had good reviews. I can attest to this model being very solid indeed. In fact if you're a speedster interested in keeping bike weight down prob don't bother. It is hefty. However if you want a solid, probably long term ( I'll update if not ) kick stand then this is the one. What I will say is the action is VERY solid. In fact I've had to use Thread lock on the fixing bolts because the vibraton from flipping arm up/down was loosening them. You may also want to put some old bicycle inner tube round bike tubing first to 1) give extra grip to the fixing bracket 2) prevent marking your paintwork. Anyways,, solid and reliable kickstand so far.

Perfect, easy to fit (DIY), secure, easy to adjust, excellent value for money. Got a Boardman Hybrid bike from Halfords and although it's a great bike you can't fit a kickstand in the usual place on the bottom bracket cos there are gear cables in the way. Halfords not very helpful and even the usually reliable Evans bike shop didn't offer a solution. Searched online and found this stand - it's spot on. Advice to retailer - put #Halfords in all your marketing and you will get a shed-load of customers who want a stand for their Boardman bike but can't get one fitted as standard.

I have no complaints about the quality of this item, although I am not going to use it as it doesn't fit as well as I would have liked/expected, to the chainstay of the bike that I purchased it for. If I had a much cheaper bike, then I would have fitted it. Here are a few observations: 1: Quality of item seems very good 2: There are no instructions provided 3: Anybody over the age of ten should in a matter of seconds, be able to work out how to fit this stand correctly and be able to do it

Quick delivery as usual, overboxed also, as usual. Item is simple to install, sturdy, easy to adjust and works as expected. I got fed up of kickstands which install around the bottom bracket with a bolt through the middle - over time they scuffed the paint (I’m not precious but it may bother others), but more importantly they would become loose, bash on the pedals whilst cycling and prevent pushing a bicycle backwards (when parking up) without the pedals locking with it. This stand elevates all those issues, a little button type latch at the back (out of sight) allows secure height adjustment (it doesn’t slide shorter if weight is put on it). I don’t normally write reviews often, but felt this needed a big thumbs up to make someone’s decision to choose easier.

This is better than my previous crank positioned kick stand. Stronger and being attached to the chain stay, the bike is more stable when stand in use. Relatively easy to fit.
