AUXMARAT for Jeep Wrangler 87-06 Yj & Tj Locking Hood Hinge High Lift Farm Jack Mount

I really like these hinge mounts. They're tough enough and the lock option is a good thought. Since they don't offer mounting instructions, I thought I'd take some photos so anyone who needs it can see how I did mine.Tools needed:Torx T40 bit and a good size socket wrench. I didn't need a breaker bar, but mine were in pretty tight.T40 angled wrench (like an allen wrench)19mm open end wrenchDeep socket 19mmTowel or blanket to protect your hoodOptional black spray paint to make your ugly jack look better on your awesome Jeep hood.In the box there were two sets of mounting screws. Look at the label and pick the one for your Jeep (TJ or YJ). I'm mounting mine on a 01 TJ.Now is a good time to touch up the paint on your jack, if needed.Take out the existing screws. Put on the brackets with the new screws finger tight. Mount the bracket with the locking hole on the driver's side.Make sure the brackets are aligned with the back edge of the hood and tighten them down (see photos).Put bolt up through mounting hole on passenger side. Tighten with 19mm wrench and socket.Do the same on driver side but leave nut lose so you have room to adjust for position through hole.Put jack on bolts, slide bolt up through hole on driver side, holding bolt in position, lift jack handle off and out of the way. Finish tightening nut.Put jack back on and tighten with wing nuts.I hope this helps someone with the installation. Good luck!

Good price and exactly what I needed. Put my 60" high lift jack on it. It bolted right to the hood and I'm using a masterlock to secure it. The product is sturdy and has a nice rough texture finish. My only concern was how easy it is to unbolt and take, so I am putting nuts on the ends of the bolts on the inside of the hood.

Easy to install and very sturdy. Mount jack with handle away to clear windshield washer. Would have 5 stars if it actually came with a lock.

I only gave it 3 stars because the ad showed it was for all models jeep. It did not come with the correct hardware for my YJ. The item itself is great and reasonably priced.

Fits my 1999 Wrangler perfectly! Great hi-lift jack mount. The jack does not budge once mounted. I mount the jack only when I am headed to the backwoods. The jack can also be securely locked to the mounts using a master lock. I could easily just leave the jack mounted. However, I don't, only because I don't want the working mechanisms of the jack constantly exposed to the rain, snow and road slush. The jack can be mounted to the mounts in less than 5 minutes.

The brackets themselves were great and have a good finish on them. The main hardware that holds the jack to the brackets is very cheap. The nuts would not even thread. After a trip to home depot to pick up new nuts and bolts, its installed.

*********So i have a issues with one of the bolts and have contacted seller... if seller doesn't respond i will chance my review but until then i wont let my review be affected*******So went on super simple (without instructions but how hard is it to figure out... really???) Anyways i love it but i did receive a defected bolt that holds the jack on(part of threading is perfect then theres a part thats messed up) i just put it on using the bolt the best i could until i can get a correct replacement all hold well... i used a gun lock like others said and just looped around 2x over to take up the slack and painted the lock blackBut honestly a lock only keeps honest people honest.. at the end of the day i could undo the wing nut and the 3 bolts on the bracket with the lock and take it all of without messing with the lock or even better someone could take 6 bolts out and have a jack with brand new mounts... i plan on painting my jack but heres some pics....
