Neem Seed Meal — Your Organic Garden’s New Best Friend!
Neem is THE way to go for the serious, organically inclined gardener... and why is it the case that I love neem seed meal so much? Not only is it an ideal, well-balanced, organic, slow-release fertilizer — neem’s also a highly effective means of eco-friendly pest control, and quite truly, I’m not sure why they don’t advertise that pest-fighting fact more openly with this product...Before I found neem seed meal, I was constantly battling aphid invasions, cabbage loopers, tobacco/tomato hornworms, and more! And while it doesn’t completely eliminate all pests, the neem most definitely keeps them at bay in a wholly satisfactory manner, while importantly (in my mind at least), nonetheless allowing nature to still do its “thing” (i.e., neem doesn’t seem to kill/repel beneficial critters like spiders, ladybugs, and other pest-devouring predators that so charitably help out in the garden).Without a doubt, neem seed meal has been a miracle worker for my patio garden and its large containers (20-30 gallon felt smart pots — which have also revolutionized my gardening; they’re not the most attractive containers, but wow, they really do result in larger, healthier, more productive plants... sorry for tangent!).As for the neem application itself, from the start, I mix plenty of the meal into the potting soil before planting (hard to overdo it with organic, slower-release fertilizers like these, so the more the merrier in my book!). I’ll then use the neem as a top dress from time to time (maybe monthly) thereafter. That system has been part of my regular fertilizing/care routine for a couple years now, and it certainly seems to have done a ton of good!Admittedly, I’ve never used this (or other) neem seed meal as a sprayed foliar feed. If I want to apply neem that way, I’ll use a bottled neem concentrate mixed with plenty of water (the concentrate, by the way, smells so bad; the best way I can describe the odor is like a very bizarre combo of semi-rancid garlic and maybe peanut butter??? This neem meal kind of smells similarly pungent, however, the odor is nowhere near as strong as that concentrate; plus, by comparison, this neem meal’s smell dissipates pretty quickly soon after application). So yes, neem meal is a wonderful pest control secret, especially for all the dedicated organic gardeners out there like me. All that said, be sure to balance the neem out with something like crab meal and/or a fish/kelp liquid to keep your pH and NPK levels on track (this is of utmost importance in container gardens, where each pot/plant has its own requirements — like my squash or tomatoes that need certain extra nutrients to avoid blossom-end rot, or how my flowering ornamentals appreciate additional fertilizers that maximize blooms).Bottom line: neem is an underrated fertilizer, especially after factoring in this whole (seemingly somehow secret, or at least unadvertised) pest control feature! I love the stuff, and Neemtree Organics’ Neem Gold is no different.A couple more thoughts: to be honest, there doesn’t seem to be too much of any noticeable difference between the other neem seed meal products offered on Amazon and this one. I normally choose between the two major ones sold here depending on whichever gives me free same-day shipping with Amazon Prime (you know how you sometimes have to play with your cart to meet that magical $35 threshold for same-day service since Amazon kind of makes it unclear that their $35 same-day deal only applies when all items ship from the same warehouse or whatever it may be... Amazon needs to make that whole same-day caveat and overall system better/clearer, but that’s a whole other gripe for another day!).So, if you’re on the fence about giving neem meal a shot, think no more and just go for it... you’ll soon thereafter be kicking yourself in the pants for not having jumped on the neem bandwagon sooner once you start seeing the results. Promise!!!

Vegan & Great For Coco Coir
I use coco coir for planting, and this is a great vegan fertilizer option. I pour the NeemGold into a small tub, (you can also add other things like epsom salt), add water, then drop in the coco brick. The smell isn't unbearable, but it is strong, and it can make you sick especially if you're not feeling well already.

Smells like dirt on a rainy day...not bad!
I read the reviews and decided to give this a try. I sprinkle this on top of the soil on my house plants. The SMELL IS NOT OFFENSIVE as some reviewers say. It does have an order more like dirt. I was attempting to get rid of knats it seemed to work. My plants growth or blooms is not noticeable to me maybe I should mix some of this into the soil or sprinkle more onto the top of the soil. The box is humongous I’ll have enough for a lifetime. Lol

Caused My Soil Surfaces and Soil Within Pots to Get White Fibrous Mold
I had high hopes for this for detereing fungus gnats and as fertilizer. But even with the 2nd replacement sent to me, it caused all of my plant pots on the surface and within the soil to get white mold (the food type that spoils fruits and veggies). Which was gross and then when it rotted in the plant the spoiled neem smelled even worst. You forgot about the fungus gnats and started to hate the smell and the white mold growing alll over your soil. Yuck! I just threw away the 2nd box and didn't bother with returning it since I was so angry and frustrated with what to do with my houseplants.

Pest free
Great product not a pest in site after harvest. The extra nitrogen made the color somewhat darker in the finished process but honestly great 👍🏿
