I use it for replacing watch batteries as a volunteer for a non-profit thrift store. It has a non marring surface, and there are tiny pockets across the top that are perfect for holding tiny screws and small watch batteries out of the way.

I came looking for a Solder mat after watching Drone Mesh promo one from BG on his YT channel. and I found this one. Shipping was super fast and it was packaged very nicely. I have used it a few times now. It's much nicer to use while soldering the little square compartments at the top with the magnetic strip is a really nice touch and it helps to keep my screws and small parts organized while soldering electronics. I've been using it while soldering components together on my flight controllers and it works very well for that! I don't really have any negative thoughts of this Solder heat mat.

This was my first purchase in my saga to become an electronics repair master and let me tell you - I am still not a master. Seriously though - this mat does work very nicely.The magnetic storage areas are quite nice for holding different screws - the flapped areas close off nicely to provide some organization if you have multiple projects or just like to organize in general. The squares for bolt separation are a bit useless for me but I can see in some applications them being helpful.While this pad is very heat resistant, I do find once it heats up a bit it will start to bubble up directly under the item you're heating - obviously this isn't ideal when a circuit board is directly above.

I don’t use this a whole lot as I am just starting to play around with this type of work as a hobby. However, when I pulled this thing out of the box I could tell right away it was more than I expected. Not that I am familiar with this type of equipment it feels thick and I have already disassembled a few small electronics and I like the way the small screw spots are laid out and where I can put the tools. It has definitely provided protection for my desk where I use it at. I really like my desk and want to Keep it looking good but I also need it to be functional. I would definitely recommend!

Sits nice and flat. I envisioned it as being a little larger but this is good.A nice feature is that no glue will stick to silicone.

Love this little mat I use it a ton not only when I'm working on radios or any soldering projects but when I'm gun smithing on smaller hand guns the little"trays" work pretty well for keeping the detent ball's and springs policed up but being shallow a guy with my finger issues can still grab them back out really it's a pretty nice little mat and it's kind of classy in a simple way really recommend it for any hobbyist or even a mechanic that does carb work be great for that I'm sure though I've not tried it myself with fuel on it but for what it cost I might just do that
