A Die Hard Christmas: The Illustrated Holiday Classic

I got this gift for my dad because every year during our annual Christmas movie marathon, he always claims that “Die Hard” is the single greatest Christmas movie- hands down. After years of hearing his undying affection for this favorite barefooted underdog, I knew I had to get it for him.The book came carefully packaged, had a sturdy cover, glossy pages, and hilarious prose and pictures. If you love the original movie, you are going to love this “child friendly” picture book too. It’s short, sweet, and rhyme to highlight the Christmas spirit in the plot.If this review doesn’t sell it for you, maybe the tears that welled up in my 46 year old father’s eyes will. I felt like I won the best gift award this Christmas!

The art is amazing, the writing is done the same rhyming cadence as "Twas the night before Christmas" and is SO good. It hits all the main story points of the movie, and you really can't help but use your best John McClain, Sgt. Al Powell, & Hans Gruber impressions to read it aloud. Seriously such a great book!

This was a gift for my husband. It’s a great book and so funny if you are a fan of the movie. The illustrations are also great.

This is a great little Christmas book for adults to help you bring in the Christmas season and put you in the Christmas spirit and in my opinion now since die hard has a Christmas book. It is definitely a Christmas movie.

Do you have kids that think they are too old for Christmas magic?Are your teenagers full of moans and groans when they have to sit through family traditions at Christmastime?Does your husband zone out when it's time to read "The Night Before Christmas" or "The Polar Express"?If any of these sound like your family this is a great book to get.It made the boring Christmas eve jammies and story fun instead of full of groaning, eye rolling and asking to be on their phones.We now have a family tradition that husband and 3 teenagers actually liked. Seriously it was a perfect book for a perfect Christmas eve.The illustrations are amazing and fun to look at, the story is fun and accurate with only one well placed F bomb.Seriously, buy this book.

You can argue all in the day to whether or not "Die Hard" is a Christmas movie, but this book on the other hand, was written by a genius. Amazing connection to the original Christmas story converted from the movie. The book is made with typical book-style material, which seems sturdy enough. Artistic style of pictures is good, if not comical. You do have to flip thru a lot more pages than anticipated, but the pictures and the story will make up for that. Buy this and you wont regret it. :-)

I am a firm believer that Die Hard is one of the best Christmas movies out there. When I saw this book, I knew it HAD to be added to our holiday book collection. The kids love it, the illustrations are great, the storyline is a nice condensed version of the film, but best of all, it reeks of nostalgia for my husband and I! It easily earns a spot under our tree for our holiday book advent “calendar” (one book wrapped under the tree for each night of December, ending on the 24th with ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’).

Este producto debe valorarse como la rareza, curiosidad, frikada que es. Un capricho absurdo para auténticos fans. ¡Por eso me encanta! :-DLa combinación de historia de acción violenta con el dibujo infantil y el género de cuento navideño es tan pintoresco que no puede no fascinarte.
