Replaced a bad unit. Lasted a week. Used the second one and it lasted 2 weeks.

Like so many other Peltier devices sold on Amazon, I think these vendors are sweeping up the floor and collecting the rejects. A while back I order a 5-pack of the 6A units and they are about 3.5A @ 12V. I figured this time I would get ahead of the game and ordered this pair of 9A units. Well sir, with a 12V supply, they are each about 4.3A. Not even higher than the crummy units claiming to be 6A!It appears that all of the devices being sold on Amazon are off by about 50%, meaning you get that much less cooling power out of them they they claim. The annoying thing (and this is all my own fault) is that I put the so-called 9A devices aside, telling myself "I will return them," and then forgot until last night at about 1AM (I'm a late sleeper). I then got on Amazon's Orders page and found that I had just missed the return window by one hour! Now I'm stuck with them. I guess I'll use them, but at least I know now not to buy Peltier devices on Amazon, at least those offering a price that seems far lower than some other vendors. If you want TEM modules that meet the claimed specs, don't go buying these cheap Chinese knockoffs. Suck it up and pay the premium price to get the real deal.
