COMPLETE ASSEMBLY. The unit consists of a new, highly efficient piston driven 110-volt 1/8th hp air compressor, 50 feet of heavy-duty, very dense, self-sinking hose and the flexible diffuser nozzle. The unit is capable of servicing up to a 4-acre pond. See our video and minimal maintenance tech paper in the tech library on the Pond Enviro website. Don't be fooled by the size of this compressor motor. It will easily outperform similar 1 horse aerators. This product is proudly made in the USA! Most aeration systems are mechanical devices that float and work on the surface of the water and have motors that turn blades and churn the water. You may be using a fountain-type aerator. From a surface-only view this may look like it's doing a good job, but it's very ineffective and expensive from an energy point-of-view. With this type equipment the oxygen remains mostly on the upper three or four inches of the pond. Additionally, we have found most of these mechanical devices are prone to break down. Our 110-volt system has the best quality air compressor we have found over decades of field-testing dozens of units. We made the first BUBBLE GUNTM in 1967. The air compressor we now use is a highly efficient 1/8th hp piston drive. This style compressor is far less prone to require maintenance than diaphragm-type units. This makes our BUBBLE GUNTM state-of-the-art and economical to deploy. The compressor is attached to our specially engineered 50 foot air hose which is very dense and self-sinking. The system uses a flexible diffuser nozzle that efficiently disperses oxygen into the water from the bottom up. The diffuser has a built- in check valve that prevents backflow of water. Stone diffusers, unlike our flexible unit, plug up with intermittent use. Our BUBBLE GUNTM diffuser does not plug up! To be clear, only the air hose and flexible diffuser are placed in the pond, lake or water hazard.
