I make a mug of this hot cocoa at night before going to sleep. It's easy to mix a tablespoon of the cocoa powder with a cup of boiling water and dissolves with a quick stir. I like that the ingredients are minimal, organic and from plants. I like knowing that the Reishi mushrooms in the cocoa are reducing inflammation and helping my immune system. I've also found I go to sleep faster when I have a mug of this before bed. You definitely taste the coconut & monk fruit and it has a strong dark cocoa flavor so I add a bit of sweetened cream. For me the price is definitely worth the benefits.

I am truly impressed with the couple of things I have purchased from Four Sigmatic. And this "cocoa" drink is MY favorite. I wish I could keep it on hand always, but cost prohibits me from doing so. Therefore, I buy it when I can and savor EVERY LITTLE SIP! Believe me, it's worth it.

This product isn't necessarily for sleep. In fact, I use reishi and cacao for making energizing, calming, brain-boosting supplements because they both have those qualities. But they also have relaxing, stress-relieving adaptogenic qualities as well. So I personally don't take this right before bed, but anyone can choose to if they want. The taste is sweet and pleasant because sweeteners are added. The packets are very small, and when I try to fill my large glass mug, it tastes too watery. So in reality, this product is overpriced and I believe the slick packaging cost them more than anything else. However, on Sephora they sell this for several dollars more. I just enjoy the convenience of the sealed packets.The powder mixes easily into hot liquids. You can mix other ingredients like manuka honey in here. Overall I like this product, its natural organic ingredients and the satisfying taste. It's definitely worth trying!

I am a night owl and have always found it difficult to go to bed before 1:00 am. My best friend made me a cup of the Four Sigmatic Mushroom Hot Cacao mix when I was visiting, and I couldn’t BELIEVE how well it worked. I was skeptical when she handed me the mug, but I started yawning about 10 minutes later, and we called it a night. I had the stuff again the next two nights and, for the first time in months, fell asleep before midnight.It has an earthy, slightly bitter flavor, hardly sweet — but it’s not unpleasant at all. I find it pretty comforting. Each packet makes enough for 100 ml/3.5 oz/6.5 Tbsp of water (or your beverage of choice). If you want a full 8 oz mug of the stuff, you’ll need to use two packets. I use one packet for a small cup, and that’s enough to start making my eyes and forehead feel heavy. It is now part of my nightly routine at home. Definitely recommended!Update, July 2018:The price of this item has fluctuated drastically in the past few weeks and has gone much higher than what I feel 10 packets are worth, so I decided this past week to buy reishi powder in bulk and try making my own version of this mix with cocoa powder, cinnamon, and agave nectar. I figured out the proper ratios to mimic this blend, and it works great. To save on money, I'll be sticking with my homemade mix as my nightly drink, but I will keep a few Four Sigmatic packets on hand for when I'm traveling.

This product is absolutely amazing. It’s not too sweet and not too bitter, at least for my taste, and it’s definitely calming. This is the first time I’ve bought the larger size. I’m giving it an 3 instead of a 5 because it didn’t come in the round container with a lid, like on the advertised picture. It came in a plastic bag. I would rather have the product in the container on the picture— easier to reseal, easier to store, easier to spoon out of a container than a bag, and less waste of product in a container versus fumbling around in a bag.

The first thing to keep in mind with these is that it is a small packet designed for a small cup, like an espresso cup, or a Turkish coffee cup. When made it this way it has a rich delicious flavor. I have made it with water and with oat milk, both were very good. I do not detect the mushroom taste at all, which is good and the chocolate is rich and dark so if you like milk chocolate, definitely make it with milk not water. Has a nice warm cinnamon, and something else. Spices added. It is quite delicious. However, if you make it in a regular size mug, it will be severely diluted almost no flavor at all. I did make it for my son in a regular mug using chocolate almond milk and he said it was good that way. I mainly bought them for him because I thought they would help him concentrate in school. I do not actually know if they helped or not but I hope that they did. as for me, I have ADHD, and do not take any medication for it. They did have a bit of a calming effect on me.

Horrible. Smells bad, taste bad and doesn't dissolve very easily. Could not drink it. One package is only good for a 4 oz cup of hot chocolate. Who only makes a 4 oz cup of anything? Standard cup size is at least 8 oz. I'll stick with Hershey which taste great, cheaper in price and only has one ingredient (Cocoa). I would return this for a refund but was not listed as returnable.

Mushroom caco is very good when I mix it with my organic coffee ….I love it …..it is well worth it, Low sugar Contant I use my organic cane sugar in my coffee and teas
