Not a book on the chemical composition of water.
Needed this book to finish out my set of the book of X rings. Came in good condition. Was a bit odd none of the books discussed fire, rocks, wind patterns (or the make up of elements in the air), or space, but what can you do...Get a science text book for that. As for the rule and application potential it's a good book to have for GM's and might be a useful book for certain players.

Clearly laid out, good index and stuffed full of L5R bits for GMs to add to their campaign,, or players to incorporate into their characters.

As usual, the fourth edition sourcebooks are a high quality book I recommend to anyone interested in the legend of the five rings universe. In this case, the book presents a valuable background material for naval enviroments and campaings, water based schools, spells and philosophies, additional background and game mechanics for peasant weapons and staffs, and one of the best open settings for and extended campaing.My overall impression is that, as with the other elemental books, it is a must for players, and a delicatessen for occasional or collectors.
