I've been using Curl Fix for 8 years now. My eyes tend to get pretty watery AND oily, so most other mascaras will melt off my eyes by the end of the day; even waterproof ones! But I couldn't get this mascara to smudge if I wanted to, and I've tried.My eyelashes aren't straight but aren't too curly either, so I use an eyelash curler and this stuff holds that curl ALL DAY.You will 100% need to use an oil-based makeup remover to get this off. I currently will use straight mineral or jojoba oil, but have to be super gentle because if I'm too rough I WILL lose some lashes.I don't think I'll ever use another mascara again.

Yes it curls, yes it's (salt/swim) total waterproof, yes it's hard to get off. ( BUT no raccoon eyes!) JUST what I was looking for. It stays put, doesn't flake And yes it's hard to remove if you don't remove it without good old fashion oil based make up remover. ( ABOLINE a product from the 1960s to take off thick liner and fake lashes works perfectly to remove all remnants). I am guilty of waking up with perfect dark , curled lashes.. I have to remember to remove it daily. Hey it's cheap, and worth the try.. I like natural brown for beach days and black for night out wear. Happy customer.

Most waterproof mascaras will just wash off with facewash, in my experience... and I use gentle sensitive skin face washes. But this one, I need to rub in some kind of oil or oil based makeup cleanser and wash again... and again, for this to come off. Very stubborn. However, it does not leave under-eye shadow and looks nice on once you get the hang of applying - which is also challenging because curved brushes are really only useful for ambidextrous folks. If you're right handed, your right eye lashes are always going to look better than the left ones. Also looks terrible and clumped the next morning if I sleep with it on (I know, I know... but sometimes I just kind of narcolept out, and I'm done functioning for the night.) whereas my Pacifica does all these things and looks almost perfect next day.... but they don't make it in brown and I'm getting old enough where black looks too harsh and ages me :( Still hunting for that perfect brown mascara.

first of all, i NEVER leave reviews on anything that i buy. but i HAD to leave a review on this mascara. i saw a social media video about this mascara and on a whim, i impulsively bought it! now, i’m asian, and naturally have very thin, very small eyelashes. i’ve struggled for years to keep my eyelashes curled and to find a mascara that worked well on my eyes. but mascara after mascara (including l'oreal, sephora, and maybelline), my eyelashes would either fall off at a rapid rate or my makeup would be unnoticeable. and therefore as a result, i would have to go days without using mascara because the products never worked or would harm my lashes (leading to my self esteem going down because i wasn’t wearing makeup). HOWEVER, after using this product for 4 months straight, i can CONFIDENTLY SAY that THIS mascara IS THE ONE! i use it DAILY and my thin eyelashes have hardly fallen out! this mascara keeps my lashes curled and noticeable for HOURS ON END! especially on my asian eyes! i once forgot to take this mascara off and went to sleep with it (whoops), and even the next day, the makeup was still intact and my lashes looked better than ever! i’m not exaggerating when i say this mascara makes my lashes look healthy and luscious and THICK! i LOVE it!! and i will NEVER wear another mascara as long as i live!! if you have doubts, BUY THIS MASCARA!! i promise you will find something to love about it! <3edit: i have read a lot of reviews that it is hard to remove. personally, i just neutrogina's makeup remover wipes and it comes off so easily.
