These J-Clip pliers are my new best friend. Gone are the days of tightening up my j-clips with regular pliers after I have initially closed them with j-clip pliers. These close the j-clips nice and tight fit nicely into the squares on 1/2 inch hardware cloth and are just a dream to work with. My previous j-clip pliers used to pinch my fingers when closing j-clips, with these this isn't a problem at all as there isn't anything to get pinched in. I used these to attach 500' of chicken wire to a tension cable for a garden fence, so I have put some use into these. Highly recommend!

I bought some used rabbit cages that needed the floors replaced so I bought this tool to do it. I ended up building two more cages from scratch in a couple of hours as well!It does take a little finesse to make sure you have both sides of the wire inside of the clip sometimes. It won’t always grab both if they aren’t lined up right and you can get a clip that is only on one wire.

If you are trying to attach panels of 1/4 inch hardware cloth you will have the best luck "hinging" the panels closed in order to crimp the wire, then "un-hinge" the panel. If you are trying to do this in-situ, you can do it ... but it will be very hard without a helper forcing the wire into the jaws of the crimper. If you are crimping wire that has a spacing larger than 1/4" it is a snap. Just make sure that *both* wires are in the fitting or you will be doing surgery with tin snips.

I built a 24”X48” rabbit cage with it and they worked great 😊 I will definitely buy more clips from them in the future

Clips are not the thin flimsy type normally provided.The galvanized clips are easily three times the thickness of those thin cheap plated clips some sellers are providing.The pliers are a bit overpriced for the fit & finish. They do however work as designed.
