It works
Works fine. Cute little light. Needs adaptor to work with one pound propane bottles.

So pleasant
This lamp gives off a warm, orangey glow. So nice just to sit around with something like this. As a wonderful bonus, if you put it onto a large fuel tank, it'll run for almost 4 straight days.

Very hard to adjust the flame
This thing is a bugger to adjust. It either roars like a jet engine or drops to a pinhead spot with just the slightest touch on the adjuster. It also goes out in the slightest breeze. I did buy the adapter and am running it on propane, maybe that's the issue?Once you get it adjusted, or should I say if you get it adjusted, it provides a nice candle like light. Also, the instructions are all in Chinese.Edit: Not sure if this is how you're supposed to adjust the flame or not as the Chinese instructions show the adjuster flipped up but I now leave it folded down, see first pic, then light and adjust and it works as described. Still leave it at 3 stars because ot goes out in the slightest breeze.Edit #2. Ok, so, starting to love this little thing. If you've ever owned, or viewed, an infinity candle, this lil thing comes close. The glass housing around the flame mirrors the flame. While it is NOT an infinity candle, the teflections are quite mesmerizing. Upgraded to 4 star because, even though it goes out in a good breeze, it is exactly what i wanted in a gas powered candle flame.

Poor design and quality control
I had such high hopes for this little lamp. Alas, the design, build quality, and operation were far too sketchy for me to use with any measure of confidence of not burning down the National Forest or incinerating myself or others within a 12-foot radius. I purchased three of these lamps and all had the same flaws. After installing the lamp onto the gas canister I noted that the entire upper assembly which holds the gas jet wiggled and did not have a robust attachment to the lamp base which is attached to the gas canister. Folks, remember we are dealing with a pressurized flammable gas cylinder attached to this lamp with a wiggly connection in the gas stream. I took a leap of faith, opened the gas valve, and with caution ignited the lamp. The main valve was a little "crunchie" as I rotated it to the open position. Not a faith-inducing valve. The lamp ignited but the flow control by rotating the chimney was erratic and I could not get it to hold a consistent flame height throughout my 5 minute test burn. Well, you may say what kind of test was that with only a five-minute burn? Well, I'll tell you, that that was about as long as I was willing to risk ending up in a burn ward. Do not buy this item. Out of three of them, I felt that not a one was safe enough to operate outside a blast pit. I also purchased three Firemaple versions of this type of little candle lamp. They work perfectly and I have a high degree of confidence that y'all won't see me on the national news for burning down a National Forest or my house for that matter. I mean really how hard could this be to build a somewhat safe product?

Butane lantern
Didn't work upon arrival. Had to use some tools and take it apart and reassemble to get it to work. Parts were loose and needed tightening. Fit and finish isn't perfect.

No Mantle !
Seems to be built well, simple as long as it holds up...yet to be determined. It requires barely cracking the valve to ignite or light. I haven't tried it in the dark, but I suspect it will produce adequate light for either tent or canopy camping. The size is wonderful, lightweight, great for space saving in a backpack.Cheers ;o)

Simple
This has to be the simplest answer to a light ever. The flame is similar to a candle, but so much brighter. And steady. With a large tank, it will provide light a good long time.
