Much brighter than my existing setup, but…
The ability to switch between light colors (warm, bright, daylight) is a very cool option. The install is a breeze and I didn’t have a since damaged unit like many claim. A few of the hangers got “disengaged” during install. Its more of an inconvenience than a day-ruiner and simple to remedy. If there is a drawback, it would be the aesthetics of the light compared to my old units. There is zero gap between the ceiling and light unit which others have complained about. I prefer the “baffle” look rather than the flush variety but for the cost, it’s a small trade off for a garage install. All in all, until this purchase doesn’t meet the life expectancy, I’m quite pleased with the ease of installation, the flexibility of light/color output, the fit (the jury is still out on the finish), the gap tolerance, the cost and overall foot candle. I showed my friends the “upgrade” and recommended this purchase.

Lights
Perfect fit for my ceiling lights that failed after a near by lighting strike. Even with the lights off and protected by a GFI circuits that was tripped my new home lost 6 of the lights in my brand new home in Florida.

Great retrofit for traditional can lights & some suggestions
Brought 24 of these to replace traditional 6" recessed lights. Easy retrofill for recessed cans and for j- boxes. Color temperature control is excellent, and they're dimmable. Lights are bright and the look is great. But, I prefer the flat look of the ultra thin recessed lights. To bad those do not work for retrofit or j-boxes unless you remove them entirely. So three suggestions to make these better. 1) The lights have a flashlight effect, brighter in the middle and less so around outer circle. Need to spread the leds out more even throughout the circumference which should provide a more diffused light without the harsh center. 2) Instead of domed shaped lens cover, would suggest flat lens so they don't look like bumps on the ceiling. 3) The torsion spring needs to be a little longer and have hooks not rounded ends which slips off the recessed can. I had to replace all the torsion springs with the old ones. 4) The little metal tab that prevents the torsion spring from slipping of the light wasn't bend out enough, so I had to manually bend them all. This was very time consuming and a little hard to get the metal tab to stick out more. However, in the end it's a vast improvement from old recessed lights and a bargain, especially on Prime Day. Get them to look more like the ultrathins for new work and they would be perfect!

Replacement lighting or new installation options
Overall these lights are a nice product. The variable color option allows for picking the proper lighting for different situations and being dimmable is also a great feature. Installation on a j-box is very simple and easy.I found retrofit installation is a little more difficult trying to get the springs to stay locked into the cans as I retracted the fixture up and into the can, as long as i pushed completely straight up the springs seemed to stay locked in, if i pushed to the side a little the springs would pop out. Other than this issue for me, I love these lights and how they look and perform

Bright and clean light, looks okay too
These replaced some 1st gen LED PAR bulbs from C0stc0 that would flicker and the 2,700K was too yellow and low CRI. These flush mount lights are quite a bit brighter, and they replaced the lame dust collecting trim ring$ normally used with recessed fixtures and PAR bulbs. Good dimability but the light color gets weird gray - just like other LED bulbs do - but they dim smoothly. Nice to be able to select the color temp too. No flickering what so ever. Recommended.

Disappointing due to strobe effect
Very disappointed in these lights. I installed them in my bedroom and they create strobe-like effect whenever I move. It happens even when just turning my head. Very annoying. I have lights on a ceiling fan in the same room which does not cause the problem.I'll have to switch them out at some point but for now I mainly use the ceiling fan instead, even though it's a bit too dim.Recommend trying a different brand, though I can't say for sure yet which ones avoid the issue.

the lights are great. I have a hall that has a ac ...
First I tested the light with a drop cord before putting a hole in the ceiling. the lights are great. I have a hall that has a ac vent and a attic drop down steps so I cant put a light there. So i wanted a brightlight to get that hall and they do..I put a dimmer on mine and it works great. I could of used the 12W lightsbut i wanted the extra light as the washer and dryer are stacked and in a closet and need the light.Next, there wad a ceiling beam, stud in the area i wanted the light, (if it was a regular can light I could of not put it in the location i wanted) but being a thin light i cut out the dry wall ceiling and Yes it fit Perfectly..The light is clean white light and looks great on the wall and wood floors,Overall its a great light to install and looks great

Great lights, but not for long
Order pack of 12. just what I wanted. Really thought they were good lights. 2 months later, had to replace 3 lights that went bad. After first light gone out, I had reordered another 12 pack. Now I have spares. Hope the rest will last a lot longer. Did I throw my money in garbage? Time will tell. If they last, then a 5 star.
