The book arrived in time for Christmas and in perfect condition. It was exactly as described by the seller. The packaging was first rate. Cannot praise the seller enough.

This book was amazing. I loved how the author took us through multiple short stories of characters across generations leading up to the present. Each new story shed light on things that happened in other stories. I really enjoyed it and I plan to re-read it a little slower so I can savor each short story a bit more.

Lots of rich descriptions and metaphors. I finished the book and was very confused as to who the book was about, so I read it again with a better understanding. Another friend in our book club, wrote down who each character was so she could keep them all straight. It also helped with knowing who was related

I read the Grass Dancer years ago and loved the stories, this time I gifted it as a Christmas present so I don’t know if it was enjoyed or not.

An interesting book where every chapter is told in a different point of view of a different character. It's a bunch of short stories where the time lines jump around but in the end it all comes together. Difficult to read at times but quite engaging if you can keep up with the history of all the characters.

The author tells the stories of the reservation dwellers from the 1800's to the present a chapter at a time. If you are looking for a straight narrative, don't get this as the author jumps from decade to decade without regard for chronological order. But, if you are looking for great, related stories, this is for you. There is magic, evil, good, death, life, love, hate, ghosts, witches and more. This story held me from beginning to end even though it took some work to keep track of the family connections.

Good value for money

Habe das Buch in deutsch und englisch gelesen, nun wollte ich es auch hören. Das ist nicht so einfach. Jeder trägt es anders vor.
