Battery drain
The seller and buying/return exceperience was smooth, but I gave 2 of the Elitebook 840 G7s a chance and both had battry drain issues with only the factory installed Windows OS running, and nothing more. I tested the replacement G7 model (the 2nd G7 sent) by closing the laptop and fully charging both it and my 2015 HP Spectre 360 (the model the G7 was to replace). Once both were charged to 100% I unplugged both and observed (with lids closed, no programs running). My 2015 Spectre retained its charge and made no noise. The G7 fan continued to run while closed, the unit continued to gain heat, and when I opened the G7 laptop to check the battery it had drained to %80 after 30-45 minutes closed, running nothing. Due to this recurrent problem in TWO G7s, I cannot recommended this product.
