These aren't "caps"—they're "keys" (or as industry people have also called them, "buttons"). The term "key cap" refers only to IBM's two-piece caps of the '80s/'90s with actual removable printed caps. (Think about it: If the keys you're looking at here go on a keyboard's switches, what "key" is being "capped", right?) It beats me why people—even people as fond of technical accuracy as mechanical-keyboard fans—started misusing this term, but there it is. 🤷‍♂️Now that I've gotten that rant out of the way... 😊 These are beautiful keys! They remind me of the classic double-shot keys that were used on mainframe keyboards of the '70s/'80s, , like IBM's beam spring boards. The workmanship couldn't be better, and the price is quite reasonable (though I was sad to see this particular set go on sale for $10 less a few days after I ordered it—oh well, that's show biz).If you want some excellent, long-lasting, good-feeling keys and don't need your board's lighting to shine through them (these are opaque, remember), I don't see how you can go wrong with these. I like that they provide enough keycaps to fit most every layout, as well as offer some different colored keycaps for the modifiers. The material is decent for the price, you can tell by the sound that they aren't the thickest PBT caps out there, but they are good enough. I wouldn't call them thin, but the sound is higher-pitched than other sets (OEM profile and XDA PBT). The profile itself is pretty good, it's comfortable to type on. I think they are easier to get used to than XDA, as the surface area is a little smaller and the curve is gentle. They've really grown on me after having used them daily for three months. Would buy again.

I originally decided on CSA profile keycaps - they fit my aesthetic, they were thocky, pretty much the full package.Unfortunately I have small hands. Long-ish fingers for small hands, but still small hands. The CSA profile keycaps were just too tall for my speed typing. I'd stumble over them, my nails would clash against the sides. It just got to be too much.I saw these and floated them in my saved for later for about a month. Finally decided to spring on them because I'd had a bad week and needed the serotonin from opening packages.THEY ARE THOCKY. I've married them to a gamakay lk67, ktt halu halo v2 switches (lubed and filmed) and I'm absolutely in love. My average typing speed has bumped up about 10wpm now that I'm not stumbling over keys.Highly recommend for my mech keeb girlies with baby hands.

So I put these key caps on lubed red switches in a Royal Kludge keyboard. Also has orings on the caps. Perfect size for my hands and I love the color combo. Will buy more sets for future builds
