Great but not changing lives
I am currently in the process of trying to land a sales job fresh out of college and it is a very competitive career. Thus just having some of the tips outlined in this book in the back of your head at all times is a nice plus. I personally felt like the book wasn't anything you couldn't get from research online, but this book makes it feel personal and relatable, which is nice! Overall I would recommend this book for its price and it is a very quick read.

Selling 101 is a great common sense book on selling basics that both new and experienced sales people will benifit from reading
The best part of this book for me was the obvious, but often overlooked, key platform for successful selling: Lead with NeedI find my sales people too focused on the product/ service's function verses what the function enables. The book's four step formula of:Need AnalysisNeed AwarenessNeed SolutionNeed Satisfactionapply in any selling situation. This formula helps greatly in focusing the customer on the reason he is talking to the salesman thereby increasing buyer commitment resulting in increased closure rates. In the end if the customer does not see a clear need the chances of the sale failing (after initial interest) is very high.

Introduction to selling
Many of the points Ziglar covered at the time this book was written in the nineties are just as applicable today as they were then.

Simplistic yet genius
Zig had such a remarkable way of simplifying the message and connecting with the audience. His messages are timeless. This book is a small package but his information on call reluctance is relevant in our current environment.

Perfect for the newbie.
I’m new to sales, and the content & delivery worked perfectly for me. It’s short and clearly presented so that someone as inexperienced as me can immediately put it to use.

For every entrepreneur
Whether you have been working in sales awhile, or just getting started, Selling 101 is an absolute MUST read. I have been a healthcare operations professional for the majority of my career and in developing a new career path find myself in the business of selling - a completely new skill set but find that Zig is as relevant now as when he started. An excellent resource for beginners or those who need a refresher in being intentional about creating success.

Selling without selling out
As always, the items were delivered on time (1 day early than expected which is awesome!) and the standard packaging was good. I love the pocket size of the book making it easy to carry and read during downtime. Some of the content I have already read it or listened to it on previous Zig Ziglar's works, but repetition is the mother of learning - so no complaints here. I have not completed it but SELLING 101 can be read in one seating or two, I reckon. If this is your first Zig Ziglar's book, you will learn the art of persuasion while staying ethical. There are loads of gems and wise words to take on board since we are all sellers! We all have something to sell. Whether it is the advantage of a good education to our children or various products/services to our customers, we have to sell ourselves without selling out.

I have been in sales longer than I realized
This is an awesome book. I learned earlier on that even though your career may not be in sales, we are all selling something at one point in our lives. This could be a product or service (side hustle), ourselves (job interview) etc. This book gives insight into the challenges and benefits of selling, strategies to close more leads and making more sales. While reading I always had questions in my head about something said and literally every time I got an answer either on the next page or next chapter. I am looking forward to reading more books from the great Ziglar!

I don't like it
I found it useless since I've read "Secrets of Closing the Sale" which is much more in depth. I guess Selling 101 is "good" if you haven't read any of Ziglar's books or want to gift someone a book who is a salesman.

I have been a fan of zig Ziegler for several years, ever since I read he secrets of closing the sale... That book changed me from being a mediocre sales person into a consistent top seller for my company and sales person of the year last year...I bought this as a refresher and am already seeing the benefits ...
