BUYER BEWARE! PHONE WILL NOT CHARGE THROUGH THICK CASES OR CASES WITH METAL BACKING!
Buyer Beware! Charges my Galaxy S9 Plus through a Spigen Tough Armor Case.However, it WILL NOT charge my wife's iPhone 8 Plus unless she removes the VERY thin case!BUT HERE'S WHY: The case she purchased (custom case with pictures of grand kiddies :-D) has an aluminium backing and, after calling the company who makes the case, it turns out that the case she purchased was their only case with a metal backing and the only case that WILL NOT work with a wireless charger.Soooo... if you plan on using a wireless charger and you're getting ready to buy a phone case, verify two things:1: the case is 3 mm thick or less2: the case does not have a metal backingIf the site you're buying a case from doesn't provide this information, call or email them to find out this information before you buy the case... IF you plan to use a wireless charger!

not pushing 10W but still good enough for $20
Definitely wasn't pushing 10 watts, but for $20 I'm really impressed with it nonetheless. If you place the phone dead center of the plate it's pushing about 6W, which isn't too bad. A bit off center and you're down to 2 or 3 watts.This numbers were from a genuine Samsung wall adapter that was rated to push 5V/2.3A, and I was getting the same form my computer's USB 3.0 port.I've attached pictures of what I was reading.

Works when it works- connection a little touchy and naked phones vibrate off it while charging
Works most of the time but if your phone doesn't have a case on it, it seems to lightly hum and vibrate it off the pad(!). This happens to my wife's iPhone 8 and my Galaxy S9. I bought this for her but am using it myself bc my thin clear case with rubberized border seems to keep the phone in place. Even still, if the phone is moved at all- the bond is sometimes(often) broken, and at other times it seems like it quits charging even when you haven't touched it, leading to you coming back to a partially charged phone when you were expecting a turbo fast charged full battery. Bummer.

Works with case on!
Thin, fast charging, works through my iPhone 8 silicon case (and the Pop Socket I have stuck on the back). Great alternative to normal charging!

It can't charge an iphone 8.My phone has a steel plate on the back (for the magnetic mount in the car). This device cannot charge with or without the speck case and I don't know if the small steel plate has something to do with that. When I plug it in, the lights cycle through blue and then green. I lay my phone on it and I either get solid green LED lights or blinking LED lights. My battery shows no signs of active charging and I am losing power. It is not charging at all. The instructions that came with it are poorly lacking as far as what the LED lights should be doing to signify charging, full charge, or error.I asked a few questions to the community and this thing is likely going back.

Awesome wireless charger!
UPDATE: I’m still using this charger several years later! Wow! This is a great little charger. It’s so thin, it looks like a coaster. It charges perfectly thru my case and is very easy to use. I’ve seen chargers that have to have the phone situated just so, this one isn’t like that at all. The light changes from green to blue when it’s charging. Good buy! It works better than my husband’s Samsung that cost twice as much.

One week wonder
This device work a week and then one night it stopped, I know this cause I went to work with a dead phone! I never will trust these devices the same again. Save and get the factory brands to your device or proceed with caution on what you receive. Mine turned out to be a one week wonder and money lost!
