25QT Organic Perlite Horticultural Soil Amendment for Plants and Enhanced Drainage Enhanced

Very happy with this vermiculite. It came well packaged. Very clean, coarse and golden color. Two thumbs up.

Best quality I’ve encountered in the last couple years!

I wasn’t expecting vermiculite to be SO GORGEOUS!! It looks like fools gold or something. And this box is FULL! I’ve already covered almost all the plants, seedlings, etc in my house and I have barely made a dent. It’s no where near as dusty as perlite and they’re pretty small pieces. I finally gave in and bought some after a 2 month long battle with fungus gnats (on my 4th soil treatment with mosquito bits) and I’m hoping that with that and now a top layer of vermiculite it will finally get rid of these little buggers!!!Also got it to hopefully stop damping off since my seedling success rate has only been like 10%.So I’m basically covering all the soil in my house lol. It sucks cause I like seeing the soil so I can see if it’s dry and watch any new sprouts coming up and just keep an eye on them but with how beautiful this vermiculite is, it definitely is a worthy trade off!!!

As others have noted, this comes in a very thin plastic bag that in my case had no tie at all leading to 1/2 falling all over the floor as I tried to extract it from the box. Size of the vermiculite was very small but useable. Recommend leaving bag in box if you don't want to spend an hour sweeping it up.

The media could not be loaded.  Serves is intended purpose with in my vegetable garden. The product is not heavy. Vermiculite is a non-toxic mineral that can be used in vegetable gardens to improve soil, enhance pH, and promote root growth. Adding perlite to your vegetable beds or container garden keeps the soil loose and aids in aeration. Perlite is a lightweight, sterile material that doesn't harbor pests and diseases. It doesn't deteriorate and best of all, it's non-toxic and is approved for organic gardening.

So far, so good. I like it for large plants. It's a bit pricey to use for everything but it is so much better than regular perlite which is mostly perlite dust.

This is exactly what I was looking for! Chunky perlite!
