I love that it has hot shoe Mount for a mic or light, great touch. There is clearly a right and wrong way to Mount your camera in the vertical position, which I didn’t realize at first. The correct way allows you to still access your memory card so, pay attention to that. I keep a large non American coin in my bag now, just for the screw in this accessory, it makes using it very easy.

Ho preso questa staffa da abbinare al mio gorillapod 3k. Tenuta come da promesse. La mia D7200 con 70-300 montato sta perfettamente in bolla e senza segni di cedimento dai piedi o dalla testa. Attenzione a non usare macchine fotografiche più larghe, perché la mia ci sta al pelo. Do 4 stelle solo perché fa una fatica incredibile ad entrare e uscire dall'alloggiamento. Ad occhio si vede chiaramente che la slitta è più spessa di 1-2mm rispetto a quella fornita col treppiede

At first I thought this would be great for my Canon DSLR (I use it for video), but it covers the battery port, and it covers the mic port. "How about you turn it around?" I hear you say. Yes, thought of that too. but it still covers the battery and then covers the memory card slot. "How about you take it on & off then?" Nope, that leads me to the other problem I found with it.The tiny flappy bit on the bolt to attach it to the camera is too small for my fingers to grab onto so it's frustrating to take it on & off all the time. I ultimately took it off and never put it back on.Maybe if I had a smaller 'point & shoot' camera it would be used but for now it'll be collecting dust.

But not really ideal for anything bigger. Luckily a small rig case can have a mounting plate added to the side!
