New Favorite Pasta
This pasta is a cousin to pearl couscous, and it’s our new favorite. It cooks up beautifully and absorbs the flavor of whatever you use. We used lemons and zest for a lovely salad. It was better the next day.

good product
I had never had fregola until a recent trip to Sicily. I was enchanted with its uses and wanted to buy some when I returned home. This tastes just like the fregola we had in Sicily- it is good a a substitute for rice and cold on a salad!

MAKES AN ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL SALAD
I very much like a particular Costco salad except that I do not care for Quinoa. Watching a 'Beat Bobby Flay' program one day I was intrigued by Fregula which I had never heard of. Long story short I use a quarter cup of this pasta (love although not a pasta person) with half a can of Black Eyed Peas, a little chopped Kale, Tomato, Red bell pepper, Cucumber and a tonne of nuts - slivered Almonds, Pecans and Pumpkin seeds dressed with salt, a good olive oil and Sicilian Lemon Balsamic. A few Cranberries are good too :)Delicious and so good for you

Best Fregola!
This fregola is most delicious and has quickly made it to my favorite go to pasta. Great for soups or as a side with veggies. I prefer it to pearl or the Moroccan couscous. It cooks quickly and holds its texture and flavor.

Like a short trip to Sardin
Very good quality couscous….added it to a traditional clam stew with stewed fennel & Sardinian white wine…fabulous! If you’d like a good book of Sardinian cooking to go with it, try Bitter Honey by Letitia Clark.

Bought it twice, second time bag was broken
My first purchase of this item was fine -- and delicious! -- but the second bag arrived broken, with the pasta strewn all over the box. Amazon refunded my money as a "special circumstance" but told me that this is not the normal policy. This makes me less likely to buy fregola online in the future, and/or more likely to try a different brand.
