An enjoyable read and must have for anyone who wants to move beyond simply being a viewer and actually wants to be more critical and aware. A great introduction to exploring film more deeply for the auteur, as well as for the amateur. This book has been useful as an entertaining read, given its accessibility of language, and as a theoretical text.
