Perfect right out of the box!
I was looking for low cut "everyday" walking shoes with great support. Merrill and Keen are my go-to brands. These Merrells look great, and fit my feet perfectly right out of the box. True to size, breathable and comfortable. I trust them to last a long time.

Great show!
The Moab 2 is very comfortable out of the box and sizing fits as expected. I don't see any shortcomings in the shoe: there's good foot support and sufficient padding in the foot bed. The price point on Amazon was - $55 at time of purchase - by far the best on the internet. As the shipper and seller are both Amazon, I have no reason to believe the shoe is a knockoff. The "walnut" color is a light brown, and the shoe is attractive overall.

Roomy Fit, Solid Feel
I’ve owned various other Merrell shoes previously but this is my first pair of the Moab 2. I purchased the walnut color size 8. My initial impression, after wearing the shoe, is 1) I like the color and the overall style; 2) I have a borderline wide foot and I find the Moab 2 to be comfortably roomy wearing a medium weight sock; 3) the soles feel like they flex nicely when walking; and, 4) they are somewhat bulkier and heavier then a “hiking sneaker.” So far I’ve haven’t put a lot of miles on these shoes, but if they perform well over time I would give the Moab 2 a fifth star.

Does what supposed to do
The shoe fits well, gives pretty good arch support (although probably not as good as a leather, high-top work boot type shoe) and seems pretty rugged. It looks pretty good too. In other words, for walking around in comfort, this shoe does what it's supposed to do.

Excellent Shoes
These have been amazing. I have over 100 miles on them and they still look brand new and just keep getting more comfortable.

Do aliens have arches on their heels?
When I put these on I could immediately tell that something was not right. The arch support was not on the arch of my foot, but instead it rested back towards my heel – and not just a little bit. I’ve never had a problem with the arch on any other shoe. Sticking her finger inside the shoe to feel where the arch hit my foot, my wife could tell that it was way off. I know that different people have different feet, but I don't think any human has a foot that this shoe could satisfy. Searching through the reviews again for the word heel, I could see that others had the same problem. I had to return the shoes. If not for this defect, these are good looking shoes that I probably would have enjoyed.

Excellent fit, great support, killer grip
I initially ordered and returned my normal size, and half a size down was the perfect fit. After a few days of breaking in, they felt great. Wore them all day with no fatigue. I deal with plantar fasciitis and overpronation, so that's saying something. I bought these to wear to a camping trip to Joshua Tree National Park, and they were absolutely the best for climbing around on those granite boulders. If you've been to their namesake Moab, you know what I'm talking about. I highly recommend the Moab 2 Vent hiking shoe for anything from walking through the woods to clamboring around on the massive boulders of Joshua Tree.

I was delighted the order came in two days earlier than expected. It was a wonderful surprise. The footwear fit perfectly, as always. That's one of the many reasons I love Merrell hiking footwear. They are also SO durable and can last for years of heavy use. The only thing I wasn't expecting is that the colors were quite faded as compared to what was shown in the pictures - alot lighter than expected - but that's okay. They fit great and they will work just fine regardless of that.

I am a long fan of these shoes. Unfortunately this pair made the outside of my feet sore and the right heel hard a hard spot in it. I returned this pair but will attempt to buy again.
