Fan is good so far, quiet and effective
I have multiple models and brands of these type of insect traps and so far this is the highest quality, and when I say quality it's usually regarding the fan. Most have some noise that continue to get worse and then get completely rattily. After a few months this fan is still running smooth and quiet, cannot even hear it when it's a few feet next to me in my office.

Flimsy quality, but very effective.
We received this device in October 2022. Fruit flies are very common in our area and are pesty especially while watching tv. We tried the fluid containers to attract the pests and fly spray by totally a waste of time. Then as a last resort ordered this device. The sticky pads have been very effective that the fan routes to it. Actually, the flies we captured were way more than we ever imagined. So the device does do it purpose very well. Now as to the quality. The plastic construction is nothing to brag about. However, as it has been pointed out by other reviews, the fan leaves a real lot to be desired. It is flimsy, noisy, and we suspect if the unit ever gives out being effective, the fan will be its downfall. And yes, it rapidly in operation goes from quiet to noisy. Conclusion: Excellent and effective device inviting and capturing small bugs like fruit flies. Really does the job and we would buy just on that pretense. However, the fan is a cheap quality and makes us think it’s life spend is seriously affected. Read the reviews and you be the judge if you purchased it.

Fly trap, simply amazing!!
I love this thing and it WORKS!! I rarely leave reviews but this thing is worthy of an excellent review. If you struggle with flies or fruit flies, I highly recommend!! You will not be disappointed at all!!

does catches flies
it does work, but you have to run it in the dark

Not great
To start, this product is poor quality. The item isn't level and wobbles. And after the first day, the fan starting making a clacking noise almost like there was a small piece of paper stuck in it. I looked it over and there is nothing in the fan, I think it may be loose which is causing the noise.Then to top it off, I've had it running for a week in a central area and it has only caught three fruit flies so far and I placed it in the kitchen where it should catch the most.Overall not a great product.

My LOW LOW EXPECTATIONS were wrong. It does work.
Have it in my kitchen. No huge flying bug/flies issues. Just enough with enough to notice & bother me.Quiet, not offensive appearance - quiet fan 2 speeds, NO "ZAP!" SOUND.Drawn to the purple light, sucked down into trap and sticks to the round sticky pad (comes with one & a bag with extras.

Almost eliminates fruit flies
I really like how much this device has eliminated fruit flies. I began using it in winter and it was 100 percent effective. In late May I occasionally notice a fruit fly, but I'm satisfied with the overall effectiveness. If you dislike fruit Flys this is a good value.

Garbage
In a room full of bugs it will catch none of them. Cool idea, have many sun joe power washers and love them. This just wasn’t a good product. $15 loss not a horrid deal
