Finally a brand that is actually good!
These are so tasty! A few months ago, I bought a different brand (stick ones) cause of TikTok snack videos and I did not like them; they tasted like Knorr chicken bouillon powder to me. BUT, these are yummy. They're spicy, yet have a slight sweetness to them. The most notable spice is perhaps cumin, but I don't find it overpowering. It's definitely an acquired taste for those who aren't used to heavy spices. They also come individually wrapped, which I really like. I will definitely be purchasing another bag when this one runs out.

Don’t buy it
Tastes so cheap and unpleasant. Like the poor quality Latiao I have had when I was in primary school in China, maybe even worse.

Best so far.
I have tried a lot of these brands on Amazon, this is the best one so far. Individually packed and perfect flavor and texture.

Item in general
I thought it was going to be good but the taste and smell was not all that great, but texture was good but not pleasing for me.

Not for me.
I didn’t like it at all. To me, it tasted like oil and really old seasonings.

Unique snack but not for everybody
Latiao is an interesting snack that many of you are probably curious about. So I'll try my best to describe what it's like.Taste: the taste is like a sweet, spicy chili oil with plenty of Sichuan peppercorns. There's some mala spice, cumin or star anise maybe?Texture: think beef jerky, but instead of dry jerky, the jerky is completely oily. As a result, it's easier to chew, but is still chewy. Some people mentioned it's like biting into a sponge, and I can see what they mean. That's not necessarily a bad thing though.Based on the above, I can't recommend it for everybody, but if you're like me and you wanna try interesting stuff, I say give it a try. Don't expect it to taste like Hot Cheetos or something, the flavor is, as said above, like Sichuan chili oil.Four stars because it isn't healthy and I wish a company made healthier versions with a lot less salt.
