Replacement for a squealing CPU fan
This was a drop in replacement for an HP Elitebook 745 G2There was only one hitch. The new fan did not come with the capture screws.The nylon retaining washers are split so they can carefully worked off of the old screws by removing the nylon retaining washer using fine tipped needle nose or tweezers. (Be careful not to lose the springs.)

It works!
This was a perfect fit in my HP Z Book. Thank goodness for a YouTube video that showed me step-by-step how to access the fan, and it took about two hours from start to finish. Saved me about $200 versus a computer repair shop, even including the cost of the miniature tool set I needed to purchase.

It’s used and not even the same
The blades for the fan are bigger which isn’t the end of the world but the wires are frayed. There are scratches and the cover doesn’t close all the way. Nowhere in the description did I see it was a used fan. It arrived in a bubble mailer in a plastic bag. No even protected against things being bumped against it in transit.
