Will charge a 15" Retina Macbook Pro
I have a 15" Retina Macbook Pro that I'm using with this car charger and it works great. It provides 60watts of charging ability according to Mac OS System Report. The USB A port provides 18 watts of power. For my phone, a Galaxy S9+ it doesn't like to quick charge with the USB A port, but will over the USB C, I've not spent a lot of time trouble shooting that because my main purpose is for the laptop charging.The charger has a DC barrel input requiring 12volts, so it could easily be moved from vehicle to car to wherever you have 12v really easily. I'm running mine with a car battery in a unique work situation.

Powerful enough for my 2017 MacBook pro 15”
I use my MacBook Pro laptop computers to run the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and often Google docs / Office simultaneously. Previous inverters have often NOT let me run trouble-free from the passenger seat of my car or RV while another person drives. This one has. It is not elegant BUT it is reliable.

Great for Road Warriors!
After my 3rd power inverter was overwhelmed, I found this concept while looking for alternatives to using inverters which seem unreliable and inefficient.This is a unit similar to what I saw in MacBook publications, using the cigarette lighter plug. This approach returns charging to a more efficient process and it worked flawlessly. So. Ow I have a 1000 watt inverter installed in my SUV that I may never use. And that’s fine by me. The draw on my basic 600CCA battery was minimal va using an AC power pack that draws extra energy from the battery. The charger is small & worth owning, especially if you go hiking. It’s design and use of direct current won’t draw as quickly if you own a portable battery pack for camping. I’m happy that I don’t need an inverter in my truck!

A Usefull Accessory for Travel With Your Laptop
This is a useful accessory if you want to keep your compatible laptop charged on a long trip, particularly if you are using it for navigation. The only drawback to this model is the lack of a supplied USB-C cord to connect to your device.

Works seamlessly with External batteries (Hyperjuice)
I use this to connect my Macbook Pro (late 2016), and Macbook Pro (6 Core - Late 2018) to my external batteries. With other brand of adapters, the charging connection to my CPU's would be intermittent. This sends a clear signal, it's well designed, and I get a stable connection to my external batteries every time. I own 3 of these! Cant recommend them enough.

Works well
This device works well. It charges my Macbook 2018 13 inch Touch Bar as specified.Having the device seperate from the lighter plug is more functional than others that incorporate it into the plug itself.Now I can use the computer in car or boat.Pity about the design. Not up to All standard, but does the job.

Universal solution
This is a great power adapter. It basically allows you to use almost any kind of DC power source to run and charge your USB-C laptop on the move (car, 12-24v power bank, 3-4s lipo battery etc.)
