PowerBar Protein Plus Bar, Chocolate Peanut Butter, 2.12 oz Bar, (6 Count)

Tasty bars I use as a breakfast replacement. They do give me pretty bad gas. This could be embarrassing, or hilarious depending on your situation. I work by myself mostly, and I don't mind sounding like an old Harley starting on a cold morning.

I want to first start out by saying my husband loves these, and I order them frequently. Well the last two times I have ordered them the price was amazing, and I was super excited! But my husband told me they were smaller. I didn’t believe him because the packaging was the exact same, but he showed me how the new ones were half the thickness and a little shorter. So not believing him, he took out the scale and sure enough the new ones are a full ounce smaller! So instead of the 2.11oz it was literally 1.7-1.11! But with the same packaging stating it was 2.11. Like I said my husband loves the taste, but these are half the size, and so he needs two to even feel like he is getting what he did before! 😔

Good enough flavor and ease of eating. A bit higher in sugar than preferred (10 g or less is better). Don't like that the product contains sugar alcohols, but Power Bar is not joining with the rest of the nutrition bar manufacturers and printing the grams of sugar alcohols in the nutrition facts section of the label. Instead, one must read through the ingredients to notice Maltitol syrup, which is a sugar alcohol. So beware, if you are sensitive to sugar alcohols, look elsewhere. Get with the labeling program, Power Bar!

The bars are shrinking. The package still says 60 g per bar, but the actual bars are only 49-50 grams, including the wrapper!!! It is most blatent with the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor.This is not a one time thing. I have a subscription on this item and this has been happening for months now. Very disappointed.

Seem to give a boost 10 or 15 minutes after eating one. Decent flavor and consistency. They don't crumble and make a mess as you bite into them. As stated they yield 20g of protein. I received a box of 15 and after eating one or two per day they're losing their appeal, still good but, just as you wouldn't want chicken for dinner every night, it's probably a good idea to have a few alternatives around and mix them up. I will order them again but I'll probably try a few others in the meantime. Overall a good deal as my price worked out to $1.16 per bar.

Unless I hear that I received defective product........ these will be the worst protein bar I have every purchased, and I've purchased several different brands over the years. Description made these sound yummy. Open one and chocolate coating had some crumbs. Then first bite. The inside is completely dry and chalky. It immediately breaks apart in your mouth and to keep from choking I had to quickly add water. There seems to be no taste whatsoever. Certainly not a pleasant experience I was hoping for of chocolate and peanut butter. The inside is "not" creamy at all. Totally dried out. I could not finish the bar. This box is hitting the garbage. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I can eat just about anything if it is "good" for you. Not this time! I gave "Thickness" 4 stars... because the chalky inside is certainly thick - about 3/4 inch.

Tried cookies n cream... texture is soft, slightly grainy, but not too crumbly. The good: 20 gr of protein & protein to fat ratio. The bad & ugly: waaay too sweet! not necessary to pile all that sugar into a “healthy protein bar.” Only way I can finish the bar is by alternating each bite w/sips of bitter coffee. Beware, nutrition facts don’t list sugar alcohols, but ingredient list is packed w/them. This is why some people experience gastrointestinal side effects & discomfort. Please consider removing 50% of sugar content, it’ll improve taste & nutritional value 100%.

Way too sweet. A bit of a chore to eat.A lot smaller then anticipated.I like the texture; reminds me of the original slimfast powder in the 80's, that chalky/graining feel.Taste is not bad but it is also not good.Arrived 2/9 and expire 3/31. Not a lot of time for the 30 bars I ordered. Wish I knew this before I ordered!Price I paid, aka the value, is the best part of this transaction. If the price increases, I will go back to my previous brand of bars.
