Travel back in time, to the early 70's, and watch a family come to grips with the same growing pains we all experience, even to this very day, and for all days to come.Their struggles, joys, and exasperation become our own, as we watch parts of ourselves in these characters, as they reshape, and refine their own values and convictions as the series ages.I waited 9 months and caught the price at below 35.00.I've been padding my collection of a variety of 'Complete Series' in this way.Wait and watch the price, then spring on it when the price is lowest.These T.V. series collections will be hard to get as the interest ages out.Cable isn't always available to the elders in their retirement homes.These make nice gifts, familiar company of sorts, to the home-bound,or for those who might be lonely and need the chaos and laughter a family brings.When camping, we'll take a Maverick, Twilight Zone, Get Smart, Munsters, Looney Tunes, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Star Trek, Alfred Hitchcock, and more collections.Cartoons for breakfast and after dinner, starlight entertainment.Comfort food for the brain as you S'more.P.S.Every c.d. holder disintegrated like a fortune cookie when the case was opened.Plastic confetti!The delivery box was perfect.The product inside, obviously was dropped on the concrete warehouse floor, and the corner was slightly crushed.Only one disc has a minor scratch. I can live with the disappointment.All 27 discs now live in felt lined comfort, in their new case.Life is short, Treat yourself.Happy viewing and Happy Trails!

I bought this as a gift for a family member

I collect movies and series and this doesn't disappoint!

My only disappointment since receiving this disc set's the promoted 40-page booklet wasn't included. I've only just started watching all the episodes, yet I'm pleased to see them in their entirety. Use caution when purchasing from some sellers. The set shown in pictures might arrive wholly in a single clear case with all season discs on flip trays inside the clear case. That all said, the bonus disc is/was included.

I feel privileged to have grown up with this show being on the air. It was a "must watch" program in our house, and my Dad (a generally reserved man) actually laughed out loud on many occasions. In the '90's, re-runs came on TV and I taped many episodes onto VHS. Of course, the passing years and new technology eventually made those VHS tapes obsolete. And re-runs of this series won't ever be seen again on cable because of the political incorrectness of the content. So, you may never see it again if you don't make the investment to own it on DVD.So many ground-breaking topics and different viewpoints are covered in these episodes, that go well beyond entertainment. If there aren't already university courses on this TV series, there should be. So much can be gained through understanding the characters and the times when it was made. It would serve all current and future generations well to watch these shows. The topics and diverse opinions are still relevant in our time.

On top of fast shipping I am also enjoying this blast from the past.....wonderful how almost any topic was fair game to be brought up.....I can't imagine much of the humor making past today's 'censors' :-)
