easy install
This thermostat works. It opens at 203deg F. The only bad thing is the gasket that came with the t-stat was cheaply made and was too big to fit. I just used my old gasket on the last t-stat after cleaning it. My 2011 jeep grand cherokee 5.7l drive temp in florida averages 204-210 idle depending on temp gets up to 226 before cooling back to 210. this is a easy install.

Rubber Gasket Issue
Even if you get it to fit, it is NOT thick enough to stop the leaks. Like others pressed for time, I cleaned the old rubber gasket and installed it. It worked perfectly. If you don’t feel the hose bib making contact with the rubber gasket when you initially place it back together, STOP! That’s metal on metal and it will definitely leak. Otherwise, thermostat performs as expected. Maybe that’s why they suggested the gasket which is not necessary if you have the right rubber gasket in the first place. Ram didn’t design it with a secondary flat gasket, I wouldn’t use a secondary flat gasket.
