Strobe Edge, Vol. 10 (10) Paperback – May 6, 2014

I absolutely love it.At first, the confession doesn’t quite go where I wanted it to, didn’t stay quite as intense as I wanted it to. But then Ninako has a realization, and she goes after Ren. And then there’s a big, crying, messy confession, and it’s just kind of perfect. It’s very Ninako. And Ren gets it, and he loves her. And I love them. And just… Yes.I’m not going to spoil too much, but it was just great. I love it. (This is going to be like a mantra in this review, I can already tell.)Then we got to see the two on an actual date, and see how actually perfect they really are together. I honestly just love how similar they are. They feel and think alike, even if they show it in different ways. And when they finally talk about it, after they’ve misunderstood, I like how easily, how quickly, their entire thought-process changes. The realization they have of “oh, that’s what they were thinking”, and their entire thought on what happened changes.There was also a short story featuring Manabu, who I have previously stated was a favorite of mine. He’s just such an adorable, fun, sweetheart. And this story really proves that. I loved getting inside his head. For some reason, I didn’t think this was going to be a Happily Ever After for him, but I was still a little upset at the ending. There are obviously good things in store for him, but I think I just wanted to see it happen. I wanted to see him truly happy.This was a perfect ending to the series, and I completely love it. This series is definitely a favorite of mine, I would give it five stars overall, and it’s one that I could happily reread. I really hope that VIZ picks up another series by Sakisaka in the future, because I really want to read more of her stuff.

As much as I love manga, & as much as I love this Mangaka, & as much as I loved this story, I always hate it when I get to the end. When I come to love characters, enjoy them, watch them grow, smile, cry, laugh, & have fun, it makes me happy. Sometimes seeing other's happiness makes you happy, too. We all love a happy ending. It's just the "ending" part that I dread. When I finish a series I really enjoyed, I feel a sense of accomplishment, yet also a slight uneasy feeling, knowing that I won't be able to see those characters in any new works. I don't get the hopefulness I have when I finish a volume, & patiently await (ok maybe not so patiently) the next volume. The sense of knowing that there is another volume coming is such a pleasant feeling. It means I don't have to walk away from these beloved characters yet. The story isn't finished. Yet, I know that every great story has to end, sometime. That's just life. Nuts. I'm already missing Ninako, Ren, & the rest of the gang. Ah well, that just means it's time to dive into a new story! That always fills me with hope - knowing that there will always be more great stories, more happy endings. So to the Mangaka of this beautiful story, Io Sakisaka, I say thank, so very much, for creating such wonderful people. Thank you for an amazing roller-coaster ride of emotions. If it doesn't tug at my heart strings, at least a little, then why read it? Ah, I guess I'm just an old softie at heart. See you all at the end of each volume of the next series!

I have the whole series at least twice and every time I read I get excited, these books are truly great

I've liked this series in general, although it got slow at times I liked how it ended. I'm a sucker for shojo manga so it hit all the requirements it should have.
