My grandson loves it!
I bought this book for my grandchildren. I read it to my grandson and he loved the pictures, the colours etc. he’s too young to understand the story at the moment but he was fascinated while I read it to him.

Wonderful children's book
This is a fantastic children's book, all about being brave enough to be yourself. A wonderful message for any child, especially nowadays when social media convinces everyone they have to be a certain way! This book encourages children to just be themselves, and to be proud of it.The wording is fabulous, really animated language and easy to follow. It has a great rhythm and reads like a poem, very similar rhythm to Julia Donaldson. I got this as a story to read to my 6 year old, he wouldn't be able to read it on his own so it is more aimed at parents/carers/grandparents who read bedtime stories.Beautiful pictures, really colourful and engaging for the kids. I can't fault the illustrator, they've done a brilliant job. My son loved looking at the pages and was very absorbed in both the story and the imagery.Price of £6.99 (paperback), is a bit higher than I would normally pay. I prefer to buy books around the £5 limit. However, this is quite a long story so you get a decent length book your money. The price wouldn't totally put me off as it's not massively over what I would consider is fair, and in my view the book is worth the £6.99.Over all I'm really happy with it, as is my young son :) I would definitely recommend it.

Brave Dave didn't do it for me
Brave Dave just didn't do anything for me - neither in pictures nor prose. I felt the rhyming was contrived and the visuals too garish, a more subtle palette maybe? I won't be re-visiting this title - one for the charity shop; sorry.

Pleasant book about embracing you differences.
We enjoyed this book about Dave and his brother Clarence. Clarence is big, strong and everything you'd expect a bear to be and Dave.... isn't.It's a nice book about embracing your differences and showing little ones that bravery isn't about being the biggest or strongest. It comes in all shapes and sizes. The book is really large and the illustrations colorful and vibrant. The rhymes scan fairly well and it's relatively easy to read if younger children want to join in.Well done Dave. Would recommend
