I've used these in mason jars to preserve dry foods for extended periods. Foods jarred at ambient temperature draw a strong vacuum after being sealed for months. Apparently the oxygen is absorbed from the atmosphere without being replaced. In doing so the packets become hard rather than feeling like a loose packet of salt when new. I'm fairly certain this is the same technology used in hand/body warmers. Makes for an easy way to tell if the packet is still good.

These are high quality and packaged well. I wasn't sure if they would be a cheap knock off. You never know! But you can trust these to do the job.

Just receive my order and is just as shows in the picture, I have not used yet but it seen the right texture, size and quantity for the price paid. Plan to prepare some buckets and I understand once the package is open only got 15 minutes of life, so I can't open until everything is set, I need more hand to use all within 15 minutes. Thank you.

Some worked some didn’t. Overall good value.

These worked out well for my dehydrated onions and for dehydrated fruits. I made dehydrated salsa and was able to keep items fresh with these useful absorbers. If you do not think you will use 80 packets, opt for a smaller package. They won't last a long time after the plastic bag is opened. They become hard after a few weeks. I used these in quart canning jars to vacuum pack dried beans and dried bean seeds. I have used this method for years and these oxygen absorbers work like a dream. I have never lost any product as a result of a failure of this product. I will continue to use the product in the future.

Some of the packs do not seem to work as well as others. I have had to place two or three in some jars and one in others, not sure why that is. I think I will try another brand next time.

Significant improvement on the freshness of our cat food. We put the cat food into sealed plastic container but the food would stale but not now.

They are in a re-sealable bag. I like this. Otherwise after you open it, it need to be used fast, probably within a day.

Everything was well packed. And the oxygen absorbers seem to be well wrapped / packaged so that no oxygen escapes.

These will come in handy when I use this product for long term food storage.

They started heating up in 10 mins. I did not have this experience with another brand. I quickly resealed vaccum sealed them for future use of the remaining packets.

Glad to have these on hand! can never have enough.
