Crimpin ain't easy!
Worked great for crimping new battery terminals on my 1997 F350 7.3L Powerstroke with 2/0 gauge cables.

Light and strong cable crimp tool.
Good, for the price. A bit lacking in matching AWG sized to the various sized crimp heads. If I where to suggest to the manufacturer to add one thing, it would be a chart inside the case that tells the AWG sizes for each set. More for quick reference. I am not quite sure if the sizes are exact matches for the AWG equivalent, but like most things, mess around with it a bit and you'll figure it out. I noticed I could go down a size after first squash with the right one for 2/0 stranded wire. It made it nice a really tight. Seems of good quality and is surprisingly strong considering the weight of it.

Makes gorgeous and strong crimps easily
This thing makes 6 AWG crimps so beautiful and strong you really don’t want to cover them up with heatshrink. Great product at a great price!

Used for crimping 2/0 awg cables
I bought this to get some good crimps on some 2/0 awg cables. I only had a dozen crimps to make and it worked well though of course cannot speed on the topic of long term durability. I do wish the handles were a bit longer so there was a bit more leverage when crimping but that isn't much of a problem since this is not an everyday tool for me.I did notice some reviewers said the dies on their crimper were loose. Mine has the opposite issue where I have to tap on them and use a pair of pliers to remove them when I want to switch them out.

Don't waste your money!
I broke down and bought this thing because of some heavy duty wiring I am doing to my SXS, (large cables) thinking it would make it faster and easier to crimp the big lugs than doing it the old fashion way, WOW was I wrong, I finally did get a few of them crimped but they look like crap, and I wasted as many as I got on the wires.Firstly the pressure/release button is backward from the labeling on the side, then it constantly drifts open, so about the time I thought the thing had a grip on the lug so I could balance it and really crank it down, everything would move and then not a good crimp on the full length of bare wire, I tried and tried to turn that knob tight enough so I wouldn't drift, but to no avail, and there is absolutely NO WAY is crimped to 10 tons, no way no how, but it did get them tight enough to hold. The other thing is, and I see most all of them are made the same way, but the head where the dies are should be pointing up not down so you can see what is going on with the wire and lug, trying to pump it and make sure the wire and lug stay in place is a real chore, I actually wasted more time and material than if I had done them manually with the hammer and crimper I have always used, they don't look and nice as the square crimp but they are easy and hold well.I may try another brand but I think I would be throwing good after bad, and since Amazon is now charging for return shipping and deducting from the paid price I will end up eating this one.... WORST purchase I have made in a very long time!
