Upon first taking it out of the bag, there was a strong scent coming from the blanket. It wasn’t a “bad” smell, but more like it had been sprayed with Febreze or something. This was unexpected and pretty off-putting to me, and it made me question whether it was really a brand new blanket. I also checked for any damage, as there was a cut in the mailer bag which left the blanket exposed (luckily it was shipped in an Amazon box along with another order). There were a couple spots where the threads were just slightly pulled, but no significant defects or damage. I decided to go ahead and wash the blanket and give it a try.I initially agreed with the other reviews stating that the color was not as vibrant as pictured, but this may be largely due to varying displays across electronic devices. Viewing the pictures on my laptop (rather than on my phone), the color is actually spot on. It also appears more vibrant in natural lighting. Either way, I think it’s a very beautiful blanket.The first night using it, my husband already decided he really liked it, but it didn’t feel as soft as I would have liked or expected. I also found the stitching on the edge to be a little scratchy. However, the blanket seems to have softened up a bit after just a few more nights of use. I don’t know if it just needed to be broken in a little, or if I simply adjusted to it, but either way, I’m finding it to be more and more comfortable. It also feels very lightweight and breathable, which is exactly what I was looking for. Summers are way too hot where I currently live (and I tend to sleep hot anyway), so I wanted something that would be just enough to keep the chill of the AC/fan off me without making me hot and sweaty.Overall, I do like this blanket and will continue using it. Since I’ve only had it for about a week, I’m not sure how durable it will be. It does seem to snag pretty easily (shown in last picture), but considering I have a cat, it actually seems to be holding up pretty well in my opinion. So far this hasn’t been a huge problem for me, but it’s something for pet owners to consider so they don't start out with unrealistic expectations.

I paid $25 for this blanket and think it is a great blanket for that price. Turkish blankets and towels are my new favorite things! They are lightweight and dry quickly and small enough to take when you travel. This blanket is the perfect summer blanket for your bed or for taking with you to the beach. I will be sure to be careful with it though because it seems like if you snag or tear a thread, you could run into some issues. I probably won’t take this blanket to the beach for that reason, but it should be fine for the bed.It is soft and looks great!I received a flyer with the blanket that offered a $5 amazon gift card after leaving a review. The directions on how to get the gift card say to leave a review and then email the link to the company and the gift card will be emailed to you within 24 business hours. It’s been 2 days and i haven’t heard anything from the company. I still like the blanket so I’m not deducting any stars from my initial review, but buyers should be aware that some reviews might be affected by the offer of a $5 gift card.

We used this in our camper, under our quilt. It provided just the right amount of layered warmth, without being too hot or stuffy. If we got warm, we could remove the quilt and keep this blanket on, and it was perfect. If it got too cool (one night it was down to 19F...then we just layered the quilt over the top. Definitely a good value and a great item! Would highly recommend. Also, it seems to get softer as we washed it. It's gone through the wash twice now, and is holding up great and softening nicely.

First of all, they sent me the wrong color. I ordered the turquoise and received tan. (Tan isn't even listed as a choice). That said, the color is okay and I will keep it rather than try to exchange it. I was looking for a very lightweight cotton blanket and this is it. It will be perfect for the summer months on its own or as a layer when it is colder. The weave is nice and pretty tight and I expect it will wash nicely like a good Turkish towel.

I like everything about the Bed Spread. It actually could have been a little wider for me to have been perfect. The color matched the picture very well. It went through the first wash cycle just fine, and as expected left a lot of lint on the lint catcher in the dryer. I am happy with this product.....most especially for the price.

As others have said, this is a lightweight blanket - very lightweight. I bought this because my husband complained that our current blanket on our king-sized bed looked like a hospital blanket, so this goes over that. It looks great with our platform bed and is very soft. I'm very happy with the purchase at its current price point and may get the smaller size for covering up while watching movies in the summer. I do agree with the other reviewer that the color was more muted than in the picture, but I didn't mind that:

When we first received it I was a bit skeptical as it was much thinner than I was used to, it looked flimsy, but after continuous use for 3 months now, it grew on me so much I want another one for general use. It's easy to wash and it's very useful, it folds small, looks nice and it's an overall a nice item to own. We have a cat who snags it with claws every so often, but I found that the threads can be pulled back without much trouble. So far loving it.

Perfect to use on porch on a chilly morning. Perfect for movie night inside. Light weight easy to pack for travel. LARGE... HUGE blanket. Excellent purchase.
