Great bike, just a little hard to downshift.

Has good bones but needs some work.
If you, like me, need a project than this is the bike for you.This bike right out of the bike is rideable but don’t plan on doing much on it. It’s heavy and you can’t shift worth crap. I got this for my 9yr old and I could barely operate the “twist” style shifters.So I set out to make this bike the best that I could without spending a tun of money. I did a video on YouTube of the build. Just look for the sync name and it’s the only one. It came out pretty good and made it way more usable. This is a great intermediate bike until your kid gets tall enough for a 26” wheel.It was a fun bike build and worth the time of you can tinker. Here are my before and after pix.
