Boardwalk - What a pomade should be!
This morning I tried new pomade; Boardwalk original. WOW this stuff is nice! I love everything about it. The container, the labeling, the colour of the pomade, its fragrance, its texture and the results! This is exactly what I have been looking for and I am thrilled to have tried it.Read full review on: Style4Men.caI got my thin can on Amazon.com for $12.99 + $6.43 of shipping to Canada, for a grand total of $19.42. With the current exchange that will workout to some $26.Even though at a glance the thin can might look standard, it is not. First off, it is actually much bigger than the common 100 g at 142 g. The can is also shorter and wider giving it a bit of uniqueness. The labeling is done in a way to make it looked aged, giving it that authentic flavour. The retro feel is well done. When opening this pomade, you are greeted by a fabulous scent! Think: melted brown sugar, caramel, coco, bay rum and maybe coca cola I am immediately transported to a beautiful beach. The name “Boardwalk” works!Read full review on: Style4Men.caThe pomade itself is a nice golden brown, which blends nicely in the hair giving it a slightly darker shade. I have dark brown hair but the grey and white has started on my side burns. When compared to clay or mud products that actually make your hair look a lighter shade, this is the welcomed opposite. Some 7 hours after application, my hair is at it was styled this morning. No restyling needed. The hair feels nice to the touch. It’s firm but not crunchy. It also hasn’t dried out my scalp – so read that has no itchiness. My bangs are getting quite long at perhaps 6-7 inches and not every pomade can tame that. Boardwalk can!Because of the pomade colour, texture and scent it reminds me allot of the Australian Uppercut Deluxe which I had thoroughly enjoyed. Now having used it for 2 days, I think I like the Boardwalk a bit more. But we are in the same space; the top floor of pomade accomplishment.Concerning the ingredient list, typically the first item is water. Boardwalk took a different approach and is using Aloe Vera. Considering the credentials of Aloe Vera, we can only be impressed to have it joining the party on the Boardwalk. This is a small affair for close friends only and you will notice that the guest list is quite short.Just to make sure it's clear, this pomade will fit in the water based or water soluble pomade category.Read full review on: Style4Men.caAs of late, I haven’t been as excited about the hair products I have tested, but this “Boardwalk” is reminding me why and how pomades converted me.In so many words, the Boardwalk pomade is 100% Style4Men approved!

Really nice. Would definitely recommend
The main reason I chose this brand was because the formula was vegan. It was also surprisingly larger than I expected which was nice. Ido really like it though. Because it is water-based, it definitely initially feels more like a gel and dries down with the holding strength of a gel but looks cleaner, dries more matte, doesn't leave anything flaky, and doesn't make your hair feel hard like gel can. Holds in place more and has less shine than an oil based usually would I would say. I also don't usually need to use too much at a time. I have VERY thick hair and I can clean up my look in one pass and keep it in place in 2-3 as long as I run it through everything on top. Very water soluble and easy to wash out too unlike oil based.

Great Pomade, best on the market.
This is my favorite pomade of all time. I buy it every few weeks or so.Look, buy it, and start picking up chicks, give yourself real James Dean confidence. This stuff will turn you into The Fonz, you’ll be fighting off girls with a stick. It washes out with just water, for when you don’t want to shower because you’re too tired from running from the horde of women throwing themselves at you all day.

A very nice pomade
This is a nice pomade.1. It holds well. The tin says that it's medium hold, and I believe that's pretty accurate. For short to medium length hair this will work well, if you have longer hair or thick hair you may want to step up to the strong hold.2. It comes in a 4.5oz tin. Most quality pomades come in a 3-4oz container, so you get a little more for your dollar, which always helps.3. It' s made in the USA(granted most other high quality pomades are as well).4. The scent isn't over powering, but it's there. I wish it had a little more5. The shine: It wish it was better. It doesn't say on the tin if it's high shine or matte, but I would say it's somewhere in between probably a little closer to the matte.6. The artwork and tin are great quality and have a cool look to it.Once again this is a nice product. It's definitely worth a try if you are looking for something new.

Great vegan pomade for the price.
Great pomade for the price. It's always hard to find a vegan pomade around, and this one serves quite well. It goes on really easily to both semi-wet and dry hair and holds up throughout the day. Washes out really easily as well. Has a really great smell that can almost be a cologne in and of itself.

Dries like a gel but smells great and does a great job of darkening my gray hairs on the side.
It's got a nice smell, helps darken my gray hair but dries crispy and straw like,,,almost like a gel.UPDATE: I have a ton of pomades and haven't opened this one in a few years. The top was seized and I had to bang it a few times to get it loosened enough to turn it. Once opened, the contents were liquefied and looked like used engine oil. Pomade should last longer than this especially being inside a bathroom cabinet. I'll deduct a star to bring it down to 2 stars.

Pomade itself is okay...lid on the container is a nightmare!
The product itself is okay, it's the packaging that is the issue. The lid is a pain in the a!$. Very hard to open once the lid is on tight. Was so bad that I had to use a butter knife and a bottle opener to pry it open. I will not purchase this product again.***9/29/17***The owner of the company reached out to me after my initial 2 star review and explained the issue with the original tins that the pomade was packaged in. I was sent a replacement in the new tins that are now used and there are no complaints here. This is a great product and the owner of the company is a stand up guy. Thanks again Connor.
