Just as fun as it always was
I bought this for my six-year-old grandson and he absolutely loves it. Turns out he loves guessing games clue games anything that has a mystery to solve. We played it over and over again and I had my three-year-old grandson help me by flipping down the cards that were eliminated, meaning he had to use his powers of observation as well. The only thing I noticed which I didn’t notice when I was younger is there are only five women in this game, the rest are all men. Not good. So the first question to ask is always - is it a woman? The game is not exactly sturdy and occasionally the cards slip out of the slots but for the most part I think it’ll last for a while with good care. Great for family game night.

Hours of family fun!
My kids loved this game growing up. Now the grandkids want to play it when they come to my house. I am surprising them with their very own Guess Who for Christmas!! Very well made. Best price. I shop early for the holidays. This will create years of happy memories at ther own home as well as their friends!

A Great Version of the Classic Game
I've been a big believer since childhood-and that was a long, long time ago in a neighborhood far away-that families that start and continue a game night are going to reap big benefits in their relationships. This was one of the first games my younger daughter and I played, and by played, I mean competively with a best of 5 or best of 7 approach. This competition went on through the years. When she got married and moved away, those competitions came to an end, but recently upon my last visit to her, she had purchased Guess Who along with Trouble, Chinese Checkers and Clue. All of the games except Guess Who were exactly as we remember. But the Guess Who game she had bought was the newest version, not this one, and in that version you might as well have a toddler draw the faces. There was little detail and a lot of frustration. That led me to replace her version with this one, and voila, what a difference! This is the retro version that duplicates that childhood experience by providing highly detailed cards as well as sturdy boards to fit them in. This game is as good or better than we remembered. And a hint for those of you who do play Guess Who and think it's a child's game. Try drawing two cards each and to win, you must correctly identify both cards your opponent is holding. That adds an element that might raise the age limit for who should play, but for grown-ups, just try that a few times and see what you think. But do it with this version. Well worth the money.

FUN For all ages!
This game is great for getting your child to understand strategy and odds. Playing can be as simple as asking "does your person have black hair" if the other player answers "no" you can eliminate any choices that had black hair. After playing for a while I have seen my children began to recognize which questions to ask will give them the most in results. My four year old can easily play this with my 7yr old. It is fun for me to play with the kids. There aren't a lot of loose small pieces to loose or to keep track of. This game is easy to set up. Doesn't take a lot of space to play. Its a classic.

How is this the "Retro" version?
This is the classic version of the game.We purchased a newer version at a local retailer but it was nearly imossible to play because most of the characters were metro-sexual and had weird hair colors. It made for a tough game. I ouline how every game went below:Parent: "Is your person a boy or a girl?"6 year old: "I don't know, they look like a girl but have short hair. Is Charlie a girls name?"Parent: "I don't know, Charlie could be short for Charles or Charlene. I will ask another question."Parent: "Does your person have blonde/yellow hair?"6 year old: "I don't know, is this light brown or blonde?"Parent: "We'll call that brown."6 year old: "Then what color is this?"Parent: "That's brown too, just darker brown. I'll just ask another question."Parent: "Is your person wearing a hat?"6 year old: "Does this count as a hat?"Parent: "That's a Beret, it's kind of like a hat. We'll say yes, that counts as a hat."6 year old: "No my person is not wearing a hat. My turn."6 year old: "Is your person wearing glasses?"Parent: Looking at their person with glasses hanging from their neck on a chain "I don't know, can you define 'wearing' for me?"Honestly, I've played shorter games of Risk.Forget the new version of this game you see in the stores. This "Retro" version is the only one worth playing. Buy one, then buy another to give to your kids when they are grown, then buy more for your parents and siblings so your kids can play with their cousins. Whatever it takes so you NEVER have to see the metro-sexual version again!

Classic look of a classic game
My 5-year-old son's grandma recently gave him an old late 1980s version of Guess Who and it brought back a lot of memories from when I was a kid; playing endlessly with my brother and sisters. The same characters faces and names that looked so funny to me as a kid. Sadly though, the game was in rough condition and was missing a few pieces and had some rough looking character cards.I didn't want to replace it with an "updated" version, as I wanted the nostalgia of the classic game. So, low and behold, I was able to find this version, which is pretty much an exact duplicate of the original, classic game. My son absolutely loves it and it has become one of his favorite games to play because it's so easy for anyone to play. It's well constructed (as good as plastic can be) and the cards are solid, though cardboard. I can imagine it lasting as long as we take care of it.

Game box smashed, shipping box was perfect! 🙄
This is the exact same game I would play with my granny when I was a kid. Love the nostalgia! Only complaint is that the game box was crushed...the game inside was fine, but the shipping box was also fine so they sent me a smashed game box... It would have been nice to get a mint condition game since I'm paying full price for it, ya know??

Buen producto.

Susan hasn’t aged one bit!
This brought back good memories. I loved this game as a kid and now I can play with my kid. It would make a great Christmas gift as well. When we first set it up, we couldn’t stop playing with my spouse, it’s so much fun! (Maria, you’re still my favorite!)

I'm glad I splurged
Upon reading reviews, I decided to opt for the retro version of this game instead of the modern versions. It has lived up to expectations - sturdy, well made, pieces stay in perfect place, and my childhood memories of playing this game have been reborn. Very satisfied.
