Great
I suppose it's going to be great and very educational. I'm teaching the little one basic arithmetics (addition and subtraction) once they are more prepared we will progress to this game and they are still 3 years of age.

An educational game with a fun aspect!
I do like to try on occasion to engage my children into playing a game with a more educational side. It’s a good balance to have. So you can play the silly and fun games but also on occasion play a game where they learn something but still get to have fun too!In this game it has a maths element to it. You move around the board and solve maths problems and it can be subtraction or addition sums. All of this is controlled by rolling the three dice tat are supplied. There are certain obstacles along the way which do help to give the game a more fun feel. The game is pretty straightforward to play and we do tend to get through a game without anyone saying they are bored etc. I do think at least a 7+ age range is appropriate unless you have a younger child who is good at maths. My seven and nine year old tend to get on fine with it and it helps reinforce their knowledge and help to increase how quickly they can add or subtract.Overall if you are looking for something a little more educational then this game could be a good choice. It isn’t overly big either so much better for storing.

Math Island
A great fun game. I play with my 4 year old who loves the game especially the volcano pop and short cut part. He uses a number square to help with the addition and subtraction. He's always asking to play :)

GOOD FUN and easy to play, like Snakes & Ladders...
The media could not be loaded. I think this is actually rather fun - and not as complicated as I initially thought! It’s very family-friendly and can be enjoyed by children and adults alike. It’s a lot like Snakes & Ladders really but with a volcanic island adventure theme; it has the simple objective of making it to the finish line first (so you can escape off the island) while avoiding pitfalls designed to thwart your progress along the way. You also have two dice AND a third die which dictates whether you add or subtract the two numbers you roll (this is the math element). The interactive volcano piece is used to eject the dice if a player lands on one of the "Volcano Pop" positions; a bit of a novelty but especially exciting for younger children to interact with.I think the island theme makes this board game quite engaging; the math aspect is uncomplicated and brilliant practice for children. You need to keep the instructions at hand so you know what the different board positions require you to do but it’s easy to get a hang of. We're enjoying it, it’s definitely a fun game!

Great value learning resource that works!
This product arrived promptly and exactly as it was described on the sale page. It says ages 6 and up. I have found that some younger children can quite easily participate in this math game, though.Almost all of the parts are made from natural fibres ( although, they do obviously have mixed fibres imbedded in places and there are 7 small plastic parts and one one larger plastic part that sits on the board. This learning resource game is great for all ages. Minimum of 2 players. Although, playing with 4 is more fun and the game lasts longer, generally. I would have reviewed this sooner if I had not tested on different small groups of different ages, including adults.I have a Neuro-Divergent household and we find that, at times, our short term memory can be glitchy. This game helps us all to exercise our brain and helps to address certain challenges found amongst Neuro-Divergent and SEN groups. Within reason, it is great for elder generations and those facing other types of Neurological issues ( e.g. Processing, Retention of information and, so forth ).
