It's ever so slightly better in quality compared to the retired HD60 S. I really like this product.

I was skeptical at first, since it was my first purchase on Amazon as a "New but not really new" electronic product. I've already had bad experiences before with electronics bought online, but decided to give it a try (it was also significantly cheaper than the brand new selection).I tested it out in my setup and surprisingly, it worked like a charm. Few instructions but very straightforward. You can also either download the app that Elgato uses or use OBS, either works just fine.My only complaint is one of the cables being a bit short, but I did have an alternative HDMI cord.Overall, great product. Would reccomend to anybody that wants to begin streaming or recording. 👍🏼

This makes my gaming absolutely amazing. I love it. I’m glad I made the choice to buy it. It’s very expensive but it’s so well worth it. Especially if your live streamer and you make your money off of gaming you need your games to be high speed and in real time this helps with that 100%.

Many people are complaining that their HD60 X doesn't work, my problem was that I was using a USB A to USB C converter dongle and high speed HDMI mixed with generic HDMI when it needs the same type of HDMI which in my case was all generic HDMIs, but when I got everything working, I switched games and this causes the signal to drop for about 3 seconds and it shows the elgato logo and says that there's no signal available, and as a professional streamer, their logo being broadcasted onto my stream when I open or close a game is unacceptable and utterly tacky. Party chat is not worth the price of giving elgato free sponsorship on my stream, they need to pay me for that, and not the other way around. My HDMI splitter I bought works without any signal drops and I can use any HDMI cord that I want with it, and the best part is that I don't have to give the HDMI splitter company free promo just to use the product. This was the most trouble I have ever had setting up a plug and play device, and this company is so prideful that you can smell their bs from right where you stand, do not recommend, 0 stars if I could.

The video quality was awesome, sadly the sound quality was--static, with a little of the normal game sound. It was almost perfect, sadly it was probably TOO perfect, to the point it was more powerful than my laptop could handle. So, the sound is the main issue I had with it because of my set-up. Which is kind of weird because I tried to get it to work with my acer laptop, but it just would not work, so-- I sent it back. Simple as that.
