Crayons on Strike: A Funny, Rhyming, Read Aloud Kid's Book About Respect and Kindness for School Supplies

Though I haven't read it, my sister loves it and also wants some of the other On Strike books for her kindergarteners class.

I loved this book series! My students loved coming in everyday seeing what new supply was on strike. However, I am very patiently waiting for markers and dry erase markers to go on strike. Those are the most used and abused tool I believe!

As a Kindergarten teacher it is importance to teach about treating supplies with respect and being kind and caring. I will use this book in the first week of school as I teach about how to use a crayon and make it last all year. Thanks Jennifer for another amazing book.

This story was fun and even can be used to relay a message about person to person relationships. We love it! My 5yo was focused and in tune.

I love this series and this book is no different! I cannot wait to hear the laughs of my kindergarten students when I read this to them!

Great story idea and rhyme seems the right format for a story about walking; talking crayons. But a story like this needs a just-right rhythm which, unfortunately this one doesn’t have yet since many of the stanzas don’t actually rhyme.
