These work great. The magnetic is strong and the 3M backing stays in place, just be sure to follow the directions as intended on the right temperature (our oldest messed that up)! The only dislike is that if you use your mag safe on the iPhone, the magnetic gets in the way.

I have a 2013 Lexus GS450 so there's not many options for mounting other than textured leather. This was able to not only stick to the the textured leather, but remain there after months of rigorous use. I like to deliver food as a second job so I have to pull my phone on and off the magnetic mount A LOT. Every time I pick up an order, and every time I deliver and order my phone comes with me, so this thing is constantly being abused, and despite all that, I've rechecked the connection to the textured leather (which, btw, the instructions will tell you NOT to use as a mounting spot) repeatedly and somehow it still holds up. At first I bought one of the cheaper competitors and used the exact same textured leather spot. I had to use both mounts in the box because they both held up for about a week before they started to fall off. Eventually the weight of the phone would cause the adhesive to start peeling away from the textured leather. Now, to be fair, I wasn't supposed to use textured leather as a mounting point, so I imagine if I had smooth plastic, these things would fare better. The adhesive on the Carmounts is able to overcome this limitation. There's something about the adhesive material that's superior to the generic 3M adhesive the cheap knockoffs use. Not only that, but the swivel feel on the Carmount is much more effortless and refined compared to the cheaper mounts. Some additional context: I originally bought a Carmount years ago for my previous car (which sadly got totaled), but throughout its 2 year life, the mount never budged and held up to very strenuous driving and all sorts of extreme weather with the same delivery driver abuse (constantly pulling phone off the mount dozens of times a day). I decided with my new car to cheap out because I figured how hard could it be to properly replicate this product. Turns out, none of the competitors can get it just right. In this market the Carmount certainly feels pretentiously overpriced, until you realize it's priced that way for a reason. It's just a more premium product. I imagine if you have a better interior, you can get away with going cheap, but if you have a challenging situation, definitely opt for Carmount.

The Carmount phone mount is perfect for what we needed. I had been on the hunt for a phone mount for my wife’s 2020 RAV4 for months. I tried some name brand and no-name options but her model and trim was tough to find. I was looking for a mount that wouldn’t permanently deform any of the soft dash materials, or obstruct her view. After many many different mounts, I got a 2-pack of these, and my oh my were my problems solved! What I like about it is it’s small footprint. The base that gets mounted is roughly 1.25” L x 0.75” W, meaning it can fit most places. For her car that was the perfect size needed to sit on the plastic frame of her media console. This meant no wedging or hinging under any part of the dash itself. It also puts the view at a comfortable viewing height. The magnet is STRONG. I definitely underestimated it, but once you get the phone nearby it it pulls it in. What’s also nice is the articulating ball joint pivot. It has a decent range of motion that gives you some options of angulation to combat glare and whatnot. Though the range of motion is not incredible, the design had to choose between the overall flushness/closeness to the surface you’re mounted to, or range of motion. I think it’s still plenty for what most people would need. Since I got a 2-pack, I decided to swap out my very heavy duty RAM mount in my Tacoma for this one, and I have not been disappointed. Though the angles and widths of the flat surfaces in my truck don’t offer an abundance of mounting locations, I did find one spot that works. I’ve intentionally driven my truck a bit rougher than necessary and the phone will not fall off. Overall great buy, great price and great mount. Highly recommend!

This magnetic phone holder is definitely worth the price. Once we found a good, mostly flat and non-porous spot on the dash, installation was super easy. The included magnets are surprisingly strong—my girlfriend’s iPhone stays completely secure, even through bumpy roads and regular vibrations. It holds tight and hasn’t slipped once. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it did take a little trial and error to find the right surface on the dash where it would stick properly. But once it’s in place, it’s rock solid. Overall, it’s a quality mount that performs really well for the price.

I am using it since September 2024 with no issues. It is easy to use and once fitted in place will not move. I always been using Ultra phones ( the bigger version of a normal phone) and it is really secured not even once been landing on the floor or changed its position. Had the pack of 2 and I still have the spare one for probably a new car in the future as I cannot see to be needed any soon. It is easy to install and it sticks! I have never removed but I'm sure it won't came out easily so best to find the right spot before you get it sticked on your car. This is really a great product and I wish I have find it sooner as I have been spending way more money on cheaper, useless phone mounts. Very good value for the money! The only bit that can put you down is the fact that you will have to stick the metal square on the back of your phone or phone case, but it did not really bother me.

This is an excellent product! I initially purchased another brand, and it didn't work, it fell off despite following instructions, it just wasn't strong enough. This product functions well and looks great!
