This is a relatively high dose. You get a lot for the money. Warning to those that have GERD or acid reflux. Healing the gut is essential but so is healing the esophagus. Betaine HCL can be corrosive to it. Use what caution not in the evening or close to the bedtime hours. I learned this lesson th ex hard way and burn my esophagus! Sore throat for days until I realize my error.

Betaine Hydrochloride is really an underrated supplement. So many individuals take an antacid for heart burn yet don't understand the underlying issues. I've had acid reflux and regurgitation issues and only recently turned to Betaine Hydrochloride. I take Betaine Hydrochlorid before a meal and I'm good. No issues, regardless of the type of foods I eat. Note: These are a low dose 400 mg capsule. You need to take 3 to get any benefit, but a least you have options. The cost is around $0.16 per gram, making this a very reasonable supplement.

This is misleading. 3 pills= 1200 mg. I thought these were stronger than what I had been using and thought I'd need just one pill per day with dinner.
