Works as advertised and easy to use.
Product works well and is easily progrmmed to a series of knocks to perform an action, such as activate an electronic lock. I bought this to activate a 12v electromagnetic lock on a secret bookcase door. The included manual is straight-forward and easy to follow, but does not cover all aspects of the device. When you hold down the reset button and power the device on, it gives you verbal instructions on programming it. It ONLY counts the knocks in series seperated by pauses (not more than 3 seconds). It will not recognize any rythm to the knock, only the number of knocks (shave and a haircut is recorded as 5 knocks-pause-2 knocks). Questions that i've had to ask so far that I wish were publicized; Yes, it retains knock programming if the unit loses power. yes, you can install an exit button, but it seems to have to be an inline Normally Closed switch between the controller and the lock instead of directly through the controller. Yes, you can wire a light (or any 12v accessory) into the controller - light is on when the lock is open, and turns off when the lock is closed (it has one NO and one NC wiring port). It has an external audio jack in addition to the speaker that comes with it. I have no idea what jack to use for the extenal audio port and have sent the seller a question about it. You can change the audio files, which is mentioned in a video. Plug the controller into a PC using the included USB cable. It will popup on the PC as an external storage device. Back up all these files and save them. You can then replace them on the device with your own Mp3 audio files (not sure of the size limitations). It's as easy as dragging and dropping files from your PC to the device (treating it like a thumbdrive). Just rename your replacement files the same name as the originals (which is why you back them up) and drag and drop them from your PC to the device like you would a thumbdrive. ---- UPDATE ---- The audio jack is the same as any PC sound card which will accept any commonly used PC Speakers. Changing the sound files is easy - tried the mando theme song and it will play almost all the way through the song. If you wire lights to the controller with an EM lock, the lights will stay on as long as there is no power to the lock - resetting the lock turns the lights off.

Works Pretty Good
I use this in an escape room prop. I first programmed it with a "6-knock sequence" but determined that it was a little too complicated for some players since the knock has to be almost identical to the programming. I changed the programming to a 3 knock sound sequence which made a big difference and it's been working well.
