Good video quality for main unit. A keeper for now. Need more mounting bracket and 3M tape.
Good day video quality, night video also decent for the main unit, comparable to the my original SJ4000 and DBPower and GW1h.The rear camera quality is poor, but so are other brands of similar spec.I purchased this after my DBPower battery expanded and causing damage to the dbpoower housing.I hope this capacitor type can hold up over time.I was worry about the loop recording not working as other buyer reviewed, but so far have not had this issue. I am using a class10 Samsung card and have let the unit ran over a total of 4 hours in two power cycles, older video files are overwritten and new files recorded fine.My only negative comments is not enough mounting bracket and 3M tape; the unit only comes with one of each.I installed the unit a bit skewed but not additional mount or tape to mount at different position. Wish it had come with 2 sets.

So far so good
So far so good! I've only used it for a couple of days and the video quality looks pretty good. The true test will be coming up this summer to see if it holds up in the heat. I've owned a few dashcams and seems like the summer heat kills them all. The internal battery for the ones I owned previously would die in the heat. This is the first time I've owned a capacitor type dashcam where supposedly would hold up better in the heat. Stay tuned and I'll update this review after a few months.

The dash cam is quite nice. It is small and super light and the image quality is good. The size of LCD is OK for going through the menus, but it falls a bit short when it comes to watch the feed, especially at the angle. The saturation level isn't the best at night. That being said, the Wifi connection with the phone is great and shows the live footage as well as recorded movies nicely. Wifi makes it also easy to download the movies or photos. The camera is semi-portable: it can be removed easily from provided mount, but there is only one and it sticks to the windshield with adhesive, so it can't be easily moved between the vehicles (still doable with some minimal ingenuity).

When I got it and tested it out, everything stood up to my criteria perfectly: it is small, discrete, high enough resolution, very easy installation. I did a long research of different brands and choose this one, EXCELLENT

Good picture quility
Replacemet for one I had for years, works well, good pic quality for the price. And front and rear coverage.

Good value
Easy to install and it produces good, stable images. I would love to see some level of polarization for the lens to minimize the reflection from the dashboard. Otherwise, it a great camera for the price.

Ok for the price
Seems to work pretty well. I'm surprised for how cheap it was. Especially for dual channel. Rear camera is of course low res but sufficient for evidence. Front cam is pretty good. Seems to have ok night video. Only issue is randomly stops recording when the sd card is near being full. And yes loop is on. Haven't figured it how too fix that. Doesnt seem took record constant for longer drives. IE more than 15 or 20 min.

Junk, stopped working right after return policy ended..
Sadly just a month and a half after purchase both of these i purchased stopped functioning. No longer powers on and the last 5 or so recordings are super distorted :/ Shame these die right after it is no longer able to be returned, will never buy from this company again.

Great dashcam with very good video quality.
This camera works excellent,I added the optional hardwire kit: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00S73FE8A/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1WF91S4HG94OM&colid=3UXCUE84OQ1ZPand the optional GPS: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01EBPBZSA/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I2TP3OWBD4XKCB&colid=3UXCUE84OQ1ZPThe hardwire kit makes for a professional install easy to hide the wires and you don’t use up a 12volt plug..... the GPS shows your speed, longitude and latitude in recordings, would have liked to see built in GPS but at least it has the option to add it.It has very clear recordings so you can easily read plate numbers, like all the options it has, especially like the wifi feature, no more removing micro sd card to view, the wifi really simplifies everything and makes it very easy to share videos online. One thing for sure is use a high quality micro sd card I tried some of my old class 10 cards and they were not fast enough it created problems with the app and slowed the unit, so I purchased this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07349L1WS/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I31CMW62EVMX43&colid=3UXCUE84OQ1ZP and now it works flawlessly with no errors, it even states in the manual to use a high quality card so definitely do it will make this camera work flawlessly. All in all this is a very well equipped dashcam with excellent video quality reasonably priced happy with my purchase.

Excellent camera for the price, very impressed so far - and quick seller reply to an email about a problem.
I'm really happy with this camera so far, although I haven't yet tried the app, so can't comment on that yet, I'll update this review when I do. Received the camera last week, a day after ordering it (thanks Amazon!) - also ordered the same Samsung 64 GB micro SD card that a another reviewer had recommended. Installed the camera on Saturday but it wouldn't recognize the car, or even that there was one. I formatted the card on my PC (per the instructions, although you can do it on the camera too), but no dice. I emailed Smarture about the issue and got a reply within a couple of hours (awesome customer service!) and they asked if I could try another card.I was out the next day and grabbed a Lexar 16 GB card just to test - didn't even format, just slid it into the camera and it is working great :-). Behaves exactly as promised, it powers on and starts recording when the car is started, and turns off when the car is shut down. I took a look at a few daytime videos and the picture quality is excellent - I don't think it's necessarily full 1080, but sharp, smooth and clear, just a touch of pixelation towards the edges, definitely good enough to read a plate number. Haven't checked out any night-driving vids yet, so I'll update about that later. My inner OCD is screaming when I watch the videos, however, because I mounted the camera just ever so slightly canted left, so in the videos, the horizon is ever so slightly canted right - definitely no issue in terms of the usability of the videos, but it's going to bug me - so be sure to get that adhesive mount straight kids, or you'll regret it lol.The one thing I'll mention to be careful of - after getting the camera working with the 16 GB card, I thought I would try inserting the original 64 GB card and formatting it on the camera, just to see if that might make any difference and get it working. Now, I did this last evening when I was out picking something up, so it was dark (camera is behind my rearview mirror, so overhead light wasn't much help), but when I inserted the 64 GB card, I managed to slide *under* the actual card input, and instead it went *between* the plastic housing and the metal card receiver, so I now have a 64 GB SD card loose inside the camera. It is not affecting operation in any way, but I can hear it if I unmount the camera and shake it. This is completely my fault for trying to do this in the dark and evidently being a little careless, but wanted to mention it just so others can be careful not to repeat my dumbassery - watch out for the gap.All told, super happy with this unit - I'm giving it 4 stars pending review of nighttime videos and the WiFi feature and app.EDIT: Took a look at some nighttime videos last evening and am very happy with the quality. License plates are definitely visible (when my headlights aren't bouncing off them of course), so all good there. Hoping to test the WiFi functionality later today.

WiFi enabled, Sony sensor, great price!
I bought a similar capacitor-based dash cam a few months ago, which has been great, but I need something with better night time capabilities as my commute often seems me driving early morning or late evening.I've read other reviews about Sony IMX323 chip/sensor and everyone says it's stellar. I'm very happy to report those reviews were correct. The night time capture on this dash cam is great, especially for the price. It's a bit saturated, but you can still make out the license plate and other details that non-Sony sensors don't handle as well. The WiFi option is a huge plus. I really missed that on my other dash cam as it makes downloading and reviewing video really easy. This unit is wider than other dash cams to accommodate the screen, but to be honest, you could almost go without a screen since this includes the WiFi option.Overall, very happy. I'll be giving my wife the other dash cam as she travels during the day mostly.

Works great. Came with bad power cord.
Edit: faulty power cable. I borrowed a power cable from something else and it works excellent. Disappointed in quality but works now. After testing it out it records excellent. Looks good. You can't really notice the camera in my car unless you actually look for it. Quality on rear camera is pretty disappointing. But better then nothing. All in all I actually like this dash cam. Decent price. Would've gave 5 stars if it wasn't for the power cord.Only works for about 3 minutes then shuts off as if it lost power. Tried different power outlet. And even a different vehicle. Same problem. Sometimes it lasts a little longer and the screen shuts off for the screensaver but shortly after it will shut off completely because it lost power somewhere. Vehicle was running.

This days will be your best defence on the road vs all desonest drivers.
I first bought 1 to try. Is tricky to set up in your phone app due Wi-Fi. You need to be away of Wi-Fi area to make it easy. I mention the Phone app because HELP a lot for set your camera on your windshield, so you will be looking the imagine in your phone and not on the little car screen. The Phone app is better use for download the videos with out take the card out and insert in your PC or Laptop , of course DON'T DRIVE looking your phone screen.Once you set, have a good video quality and sound. You can disable the audio at any time. Make sure to buy a good Mini card (Samsung 32 GB works good) .If have any trouble, just contact the provider, they ussually get back to you in less than 24hrs. And always remember, the basic rule with electronics, if not working good of facing some troubles, Just reset to factory default.Now..... I own 4 cams.
