I was heart broken about the smell. First I sprayed it with diluted bleach and rinsed it outside. Still smelled bad. Next I washed it with Murphy's Wood Soap and that helped. Finally some lemon furniture polish seems to have done the trick. My dogs love it. Just the right height to see out the window.

Very low. By itself, it’s more like an ottoman or low coffee table than bench. For my need, it’s the perfect height and depth. It makes the perfect base for the large cushions I already had. Now I have a comfy seating area at the end of a small outdoor covered landing.Underneath the rattan seat is a layer of pressed board, so you wouldn’t want to let it get wet. I took one star off for the wood used to make the underside frame. Could be better quality, but overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble and sturdy. It does sit a little low, but that's exactly what I was looking for. (I am using it as a coffee table not a bench.) To me, it seems too low for a bench. I also swapped out the legs and replaced them with turned legs that go better with my decor.

I love this product. I bought it to use as a coffee table for my covered outdoor seating area & it’s a bit smaller than I expected but it’s perfect. I’m not sure how it would be used as a bench as described because it’s very low to the ground. The only negative bit of feedback is it was supposed to arrive on Wednesday July 3rd and it didn’t arrive until Friday July 5...which being a prime member I was extremely disappointed with as I wanted it for a get together I was having on the 4th.

I Love SafaviehThe ottoman is a complement to my Keadboard. It sits a little low but I've added a 5 inch seat cushion for a little more height. Absolutely Beautiful.

I took a chance despite reading some of the reviews that this “bench” is really not a bench. It is a low lying coffee table. I thought it would be ok to put at the foot of my bed, but it looked ridiculous. I have now put it in front of a setee and will keep on the hunt.

I originally purchased this to use as a footstool in front of a loveseat but it’s too awkward size wise...I put my German Shepherd’s dog bed on it and she loves it! It’s well made just way short for what I intended it for.

In the picture the bench looked like it was white washed. Mine came much darker.... One of the legs would not screw in right. I'm using mine as a coffee table. I like that I can use it s a bench or coffee table.
