I've had this tape on my truck's rusty rocker panels for a few months now and it's still holding strong

I bought this thinking it was 3m film protector but was wrong. It is more of an adhesive tape. The product is thick enough that if you fold it there will be a permanent crease. I still used the product but installed without using a alcohol water mixture because it worked better.

I wanted something that was cheaper than the metal plates, protected my door threshold, and looked good. I guess 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. I took an extreme amount of care and just couldn’t get this stuff to lay down without air bubbles. I kept trying to pull it up and press down as it went down but the bubbles just kept popping up. One you lay it down, you will not fan out the bubbles like with tint. I tried to tell myself no one would notice but the problem is, I’d notice.

Needed it for my 370Z factory strip was old and yellow. Used this item. It's perfect

I could not get it from sticking to it's self. This not for the experienced.. I gave up!

Instead of the usual ones that kinda fit or don't, I got this as my truck is cactus grey and this color suits it perfectly and given it's a 4 door, also great. I choose to make these longer than the pre-cut ones and you should consider that as well, mine I cut to 28" long for the fronts and 26" for the rear sills. TIPS: wash the sill using either warm soapy water or Windex, yes Windex. The backing is super thin and peels away perfectly but don't fully peel your cover just yet. Once the area is clean, spray it with Windex again, the entire area where you will be applying the decal. Peel the back then lay it on top of the wetted area. Use a soft flat squeegee type device, could be cardboard, plastic spatula, etc., then slowly work out the bubbles, I also use a cloth rag to wipe up under the rubber seal to ensure I get full adhesion. This is one of my favorite products I've used so far on the truck, can't say enough about how easy it is to use (in the sun and on warmer days btw.)
