For young readers, this is a Win! 1st grader and twin 4 yr olds love them
Love how these books are all laid out and so much less expensive than buying individually; 8 year old Grandson has read them all within one month - to his twin 4 year old brothers and even his 2 year old baby sister = His nana loved hearing him read them out loud. He adored having them in the cardboard container. They arrived quickly and packaged so well that none were harmed in shipping.

For my daughter
She is excited to share these books with her 2nd grade class. She has fond memories of reading them when she was young(er)

The various fonts are so great for those struggling with focus issues. Unlike what we are used to from the library these are only black and white which was disappointing but made sense for the price point. Great easy read for my kiddos

Great bookset for price, NOT COLOR COPIES
I grew up reading these stories when I was in elementary school and always loved them. This is a good starter set for those that are just starting to get their children into reading.HOWEVER, these copies are NOT IN COLOR. One of the things I remembered most about this series was that it was in color (for the artwork and to emphasize words) and took for granted that this edition was also in color. It was my own fault I did not look at the reviews, but nowhere that I could see in the listing (OR ON THE PHSYICAL BOXSET) does it mention that these are in black and white. Had it been mentioned anywhere on the full listing and not buried in the reviews I likely would have passed on this set.TLDR; Great books for every age, this is NOT a color set.

Where the color?
The most fun part of these books were the colors and the art. I was very disappointed when I opened the book and it was all in black and white.

Black & White Copies
I read Geronimo Stilton books growing up in middle school and I randomly remembered that these books even existed so I’ll admit I saw this set was on sale and bought it in a whim. The books came packaged and brand new I will say. My disappointment is that all of the pages are in black and white. I had memories of these vivid comic book like pages and this was just not it.Also the box the set came in has just 1-2 too many books in it, like we had to try for a few minutes just to get one book out.I realized the black and white copies issue is all over Amazon, if you are looking for the traditional books I’d suggest EBay or buying single books from Barnes & Noble. I’ve found if they have the Scholastic logo on it then it’s typically in color.

Good Set of Books for Early Readers Looking to Advance
These types of books are fantastic for helping to build the confidence of children who struggle with reading as they blend a comic book type pictures and narrative in together with a more book like structure. What you'll. find is more advanced and varied vocabulary often highlighted throughout the book which will give both the reader and parent opportunities for discussions and further questions. The price per book is hard to beat and is a good investment if you have more than one child. Plus, if you own the book you can allow your child to circle or highlight words they don't know or have questions about. Otherwise, check them out at your local library (only downside is they may not have all or be missing some in the series).
