Umiee Concert Ukulele Kit
The kit includes a concert ukulele, 3 plastic picks, 1 cleaning cloth, a set of strings (quality unknown), 1 string winder, 1 finger rattle shaker, 1 digital tuner with battery in it, 1 guitar capo (which has good tension), and 1 strap (which has good adjustment, pho leather ends, and fits on the strap buttons tight and secure.)The ukulele is clean with no sawdust. It doesn’t look like it has any flaws in the finish, or any flaws or knots in the wood. It has an even colour, and pattern / wood grain.Seams, joints, and glue are tight and tidy, with no ugly stuff. It has no strong smell. The neck seems fairly straight. The frets are level, even, and filed the same.Edges of fretboard are nicely beveled. You don’t feel them sliding your hand down the neck.It has fret markers on frets 5, 7, 10, 12, and 15, on the fretboard only. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have any on the sides. There is a tag stating that it is strung with Aquila Super Nylgut strings, which are knotted in bridge slots. They seem to already be pretty stretched out to stay in tune.It has closed chrome tuners. They feel sensitive enough. The sound hole has a simple pattern, which is good. It doesn’t have all that fancy stuff some have. The bridge is a not the standard style. It matches the fretboard. The nut and saddle look to be made of plastic. I don’t know that it matters. It has 2 strap buttons. This ukulele has a thin, bright tone.It has distinct articulation of notes in a chord.I didn’t notice any fret buzz. The intonation seems decent. It has medium sustain.Just playing it, if I had to guess it’s cost, I would have guessed it was higher than it was actually listed for.For the price, it would be difficult to find anything to complain about.

Umiee Mahogany Concert Ukulele Starter Kit from a Beginner’s Perspective
This is a “Umiee Concert Ukulele Mahogany, 23 inch Ukulele Starter Kit with Tuner/Strap/Carry Bag/Picks/Aquila String/Capo/Grover/Percussion Musical Egg/Clear Cloth”.It arrived in a unbranded standard ukulele box, inside an Amazon box with minimal kraft paper padding. The inside box was crushed on both ends. Fortunately, the ukulele was not damaged. This pretty ukulele has a matte finish which leaves the wood a paler colour than most wood finishes. The headstock has the Umiee logo lasered into the surface. There is a small dent above the logo at the top of the headstock which is barely noticeable. It has four chromed geared tuners with chromed plastic knobs. The seams of the knobs are a bit rough. It has a rounded mahogany neck which is comfortable to hold, with a flat high density composite wood fretboard with 17 frets and fret markers on the top, but not on the sides. I would suggest adding side markers. The frets are not completely smooth at the sides of the fret board. The fret wire slots are cut right to the edge of the fretboard. There is a small groove on the fretboard below the 2nd fret wire and a tiny imperfection on the 11th fret.It comes strung with Aquila Super Nylgut strings. I find hold tuning very well once they are stretched out, which these already seem to be.It is set up with medium action of approximately 1mm at the 1st fret, and 3mm at the 12th fret. The body is made of mahogany and has a nice multi-layer black and creamy white purfling detail at the perimeter of the top edge. The sound hole is circled by some lasered circles and ‘S’ shapes around it.Both the purfling and the lasering are very similar to that of my Lohanu ukulele. It has a unique shaped bridge which is probably made out of the same high density composite wood as the fretboard. I prefer this bridge shape over the common, large and blocky, rectangular bridges. The bridge could have been sanded a bit more to provide a smooth finish. The strings are knotted off in slots at the bottom edge of the bridge.I think the nut and saddle look plastic, but they may be made out of bone, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. This ukulele body is thicker at the bottom than it is at the top. It has a slightly curved back. It has a nice bookmarked back surface, and has creamy white purfling at the edges. The build of this ukulele is neat on the outside. The slotted binding inside has rough edges, resulting in some saw dust inside the ukulele. There are no globs of glue visible anywhere. There is one black fingerprint like smudge under the finish on the side of the bottom bout. The bottom seam is not the prettiest, but it is nice and smooth. The overall finish of the ukulele could have used a final pass of the finest sand paper to take of the few slightly rough spots. This ukulele comes with 2 chrome strap pins already installed at the bottom, and at the bottom side of the neck close to where it attaches to the body.I like the bright sound, volume, and sustain of this ukulele. This ukulele comes with a number of accessories which makes this kit a really good value. It is a great starter kit for anyone.Included is a thinly padded zippered gig bag with orange binding, and two simple shoulder straps. The extra strings appear to be Aquila Super Nylgut strings as well. The strap provided is red, white, and blue, with black leatherette ends. The metal capo and plastic string winder are both black.A simple digital tuner has been provided, which has settings for use with a guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele with GCEA (Uc) tuning for soprano, concert, and tenor size ukuleles. At thin, soft cleaning cloth has been included to wipe down your ukulele and strings after use.If you like using a pick, you get 3 thin plastic picks. A cheap green plastic and elastic shaker ring is also provided.

Pretty good starter kit
I play classical guitar, folk style accustic and electrical guitar/bass. Want to learn Ukulele as well. So i can play it when my daughter dances hula dance :) This ukulele comes with a complete kits with tuner, strap and pick etc. Tuning is easy with tuner. A bit of challenge when you are a guitar player. A lot of getting used to do. Tune is beautiful, pretty sweat sound. Like it already.

I am a beginner player, for the price and everything you are getting this is an EXCELLENT buy. For me it tuned fairly easy and I did use the electronic tuner it came with, have had no problems with it but want to make clear I am not an expert here. I have this one as a 2nd one at my shop so I can practice. Thanks so much for offering this.

Love this Umiee 23 inches mahogany ukulele, the size perfect & comfortable playing feel. Good sound. Easy to learn than a guitar. At least my finger not hurt after playing. This package come with a lot of assessor including carrying bag, sturdy strap, accurate tuner, 3 pcs picks, percussion musical egg and more...Every night after dinner I'll play it. It so fun to have this ukulele! Pic showing size of guitars and ukulele.

This feels like a much more expensive uke.
I’m not one to ever write reviews but I love this ukulele. I bought it about two months ago and since then, my grandma and friend have both purchased one at about the same price. This ukelele is better than both of theirs in every way. The ukes that they purchased don’t even stay in tune for three minutes whereas this one can hold its tune for a while. I only have to retune it every couple weeks. Mine also seems heavier and just overall better quality. Just a rule of thumb that I’ve noticed -when looking for your first uke, try to buy one where the stings hook at the bottom and aren’t just tied like some others.-happy playing:)

The sound is great, the looking is nice
Waited a few days before I wrote a review. as a beginner, Ukulele is much easier than Guitar with Nylon strings and small size :) It comes with digital tuner with battery, spare strings, a clamp a pick and lots of small stuffs. The sound is great, the looking is nice. that's all I can think of. Just started watching tutoring video's in youtube and hope I can learn some simple chores soon!
